Recently came across some cool stuff on cgaxis, where I thought I could use it within Daz with some slightly encumbering/tiresome/mind-boggling steps but alas, it couldn't be farther away from the truth. Props that require to be placed on ground is all fine, loading the textures was fine too given the assets came in different formats and usually had wavefront/obj format with materials already saved. I was having some fun with the scenes now that I could have more models in my scene, but then. Then, I came across assets which could be worn. And god, I wasted a whole day looking into how to rig it up and create wearable presets for my characters.
The documentations for it are all WIP, not to mention the steps they even provide are unsubstantial when it comes to executing them. One of the steps required me to use the transfer utility (which I am guessing is the steps where you transfer morphs from an already created object to another object). But wow, wow, it needs templates which aren't even there, and I presume needs to be created by the artists themselves. How hard it is to provide some default templates for the most basic of the stuff people might use? Shirts, pants, shoes, slippers, some other wearable items/accessories. Unless I am missing something.
Regardless of my rant, it would be helpful if there were someone generous enough to have worked on such templates and provide them for general usage? The product I have is a wristwatch.
