This has an issue in that once installed, it dials into every Genesis 8 character loaded.
The creator fixed it, but the fixed version isn't at ZoneGFX.
July 18, 2019 at 9:45 AM #1166475If you haven't already, best bet would be to notify the uploader: @creationz Do you have access to the original from DAZ? If so, it would be helpful if you could update the upload. If not, perhaps request the updated version from wherever you got it from in the first place 🙂
July 18, 2019 at 2:10 PM #1166730Yes, I found a few files in the main location of the G8M base and some others scattered around. I looked at the install and deleted any content related to the file and re-installed G8M . The file should be removed from the site.
July 19, 2019 at 6:44 AM #1167610I don't have the updated version. "If so, it would be helpful if you could update the upload. If not, perhaps request the updated version from wherever you got it from in the first place..."
I got it from here.
July 19, 2019 at 8:27 AM #1167708yeah, in this Allistair case, sadly you can't manually update it like in Demona's morph issue case as the Vendor is so petty(or insecure) that they encrypt those morph file codes, wtf man, there's rarely people tinker with morph coding except to fix stuff and the vendor encrypt the shit out of it so only him can fix it *shaking my head*

deepedia, what files would we need to edit to fix it? I can see the code when I unzip the duf and dsf files but I have no idea what to edit to fix it.
July 22, 2019 at 12:44 AM #1170951I own him, has he been updated? I can grab the newer file if it has been fixed.
Also those above complaining about the files being encrypted, if you download the DSF Toolbox, you'll have no problem unencrypting Daz files. I use that tool all the time to convert encrypted Daz files to workable and editable ones.

July 22, 2019 at 2:04 AM #1171009I don't think it is updated yet in Zone @Anjabear
also, thank you, i don't know that such tool like DSF Toolbox exist, it will help a lot to help fixing other issue like this if it happen again.

7zip works the same way, just extract and open in notepad.
It's been updated and everything works fine apparently.

December 15, 2019 at 5:47 AM #1377572Does this have to be installed to fix if the old version was installed?
What has to be done to get it removed if the old version was added to the library?
September 10, 2021 at 7:07 AM #1728679Can someone explain how to fix this? I am tired of every G8 having alistair at 100%. Is there a fix?
Please explain how to fix this, someone.
September 10, 2021 at 12:02 PM #1728749My solution is to uninstall the figure and I reinstalled G8 just to be safe. I manually uninstalled by looking in the zip to find the location of all files and just deleted them. DLed a fresh copy of G8M and copied over all files.
The update/fix may work but I didnt care to retry. One figure isnt that big a deal and it wont be missed.
September 10, 2021 at 12:55 PM #1728762Maybe Maybe this helps.
The easy way
Start Daz.
Load the Genesis 8 Base Figure.
Go to your Parameters Tab (may want to check the Shaping Tab later as well) and select “Currently Used”. This should display the offending morphs.
For those unwanted morphs click the “Gear Cog” on the upper right of the “Morph Dial” and select “Parameter Settings”
In the lower half of the next menu box theres a “Default” setting. Change it to ” 0 ” (zero) and click “Accept”.
To save this, you’ll need to go to the Menu, File, Save As, Support Asset, “Save Modified Assets”
You should get a message box saying G8 and those morphs will be permently modified, Click “Accept”.
Next time you load G8 it should be all good zero’d out.
