So Aiko 8 finally came out, I'm kinda excited, I haven't added her to my library but I'm kind just waiting a bit before I dive in, don't want to get my hopes up.
Has anyone tried her out yet? What do you guys think about her so far?
Alos, gosh when do you think they'll release Kenji 8?
I know people over at Daz are jumping up and down and bitching that she's less anime and more FF/video game character but I kinda like how she's less that way inclined these days. I see her as more of a sweet stylised teenager type character and my tinkering so far has been very positive.
I've unfortunately just been struggling with a lack of inspiration lately so I haven't managed to post anything up, but my tinkering with Aiko has been really enjoyable. I really like her.
I like having her just incase a realistic character happens to be made for her. The outfit should be great and fit most any G8. Ive cant ever recall doing a full toon scene. Id have to install to much I know id never use. I have a few toon animals for cuteness and maybe 5 toon characters installed. No toon props or environments.
Im waiting on Mei Lin 8 but to be honest, I cant see her doing anything G8 base cant do. I just like collecting characters. Theres maybe 5 in 100 id go straight to if you asked me to do a render. Im hoping to break out of this bad habbit and show more variety.

I just really do love the anime look, and yes it is less anime and more ff but I love the final fantasy style. I think it is a step up from the 7 version, it really was a disappointment to see 6 to 7, 7 didn't have those big eyes I was looking for. I hope Kenji also goes for the FF looks too with them eyes.SilverboaX;

Oh really? hmm, I guess realistic is a better option over the whole animate look. I actually got rid of all the stuff I didn't use that I got in torrent downloads a lot of them were toon items.@darknessfalls69 I completely agree with you! I love this style and I would actually say I'm preferring this Aiko to previous generations. I know a few people have done a mix between Sakura and Aiko and it looks interesting but I've never been hugely into the Japanese anime thing so it doesn't appeal. This move towards more realistic but still stylised is so much more appealing 🙂
I dont believe anime is right or wrong. I like movies like the "Incredibles" and" Wrek it Ralph". Ive a few movie like "Spirited Away" "Akira" "Ghost in "Shell" " Vampire Hunter D" ect...
Its just not right for me rendering. Also I dont always go for reality I just got for a real look. Trolls and aliens arent real ( maybe aliens are and internet trolls ) I just want my images to look real. Im a FF 7 fan. IMHO after that it went down hill.
I may do a FF style image but they usually wind up looking a bit uncanny valley most of the time if you go for realistic. Ive considered Star with a puppy image but, decided id rather render other stuff.
