Dragonfly Helicopter
Dragonfly Helicopter is one of a number of aircrafts developed under the inspiration of the insect kingdom. It is a small versatile multi-purpose vehicle used both as a troop carrier, as a rescue vehicleor to a range of other tasks. The hull is a cylindrical cabin that accommodates up to 11 passengers or soldiers in full battle armor, or 3 tons of cargo. At the top of the cabin is located two turboshaft engines of 1,300 kW, driving the pair of eight-blade propellers in swiveling frames. The cabin is equipped with door, of which the upper part is tipped up, while the rest is folded down, and generates the boarding platform. The interior cabin can accommodate a pair of machine guns for defense of the aircraft. At the root of the airframe is located motor crane with capacity of 500 kg, which can haul both people and cargo on board the aircraft or is used for landing away team units at the roofs of buildings and other difficult to access areas. The cabin can be equipped with different variants of the features according to the needs of the mission.
Crew consits of two pilots, each of which has its own cockpit and each one can drive a helicopter or act as weapons officer or operator of a crane. Cockpits are mounted on a movable joint that allows push and turn the cab off the machine axis and extend the pilot's field of view. This maneuver is used either for better control of the crane when one of the pilots can turn his cab to the side so he can observe space behind the machine, while the second pilot is dedicated to flight control. When landing or taking off from enemy territory movable cockpits can be used to extend the tactical superiority of the helicopter crew and help them become more informed about the area.
