Badlands Droid
This Badlands Droid model from Mesh Manglers is an original, poseable robot character that is at home either as a scavanger in the badlands of a scorched post-apocalyptic Earth or as a service Droid in the home, city or ghetto of the not so distant future.
In addition to the Droid model this pack also contains a poseable anti-gravity Saucer prop as a personal transport device for the Droid. Two light sets are included to highlight the anti-gravity function of the Saucer. A smartprop consisting of mechanical parts which fit inside the chest cavity of the Droid is included to further enhance the detail of the Droid.
The Badlands Droid model includes the following mechanical joint articulations:
* The head can raise, lower and spin.
* The eyepiece can move left and right along the eye rail.
* The eye rail can move up and down. In combination with the head and eyepiece movements this gives the eyepiece almost 360 degrees of "look at" capability.
* The shoulders, arms, elbows, forearms, wrists and finger joints, in combination, give the Droid incredibly smooth and flowing movements.
* The upper body can rotate around the lower body 360 degrees.
* The wheels turn within the wheel cover.
* The wheels and wheel cover can be raised or lowered along the lower body slide bar.
* The chest plate is rigged to slide forwards and open revealing either an empty chest cavity for storing scavanged objects or when used with the included "Chest Internals" smartprop, it reveals the internal mechanical workings of the Droid.
The Saucer model includes the following mechanical joitn articulations:
* The control levers of the saucer can move forwards and backwards within the slots on the main forward hull.
* The two rear gates that give the Droid access to the saucer have a single dial operation to give smooth and uniform control over their operation.
* An access ramp consisting of a three stage opening process, has a single dial operation for ease of use.
* A center lift platform lowers the Droid to the flight position within the Saucer.
In addition to the poseable features of these models this product also contains these additional Library elements:
* 3 x MAT Poses for a clean "factory finish" texture for both the Droid and Saucer.
* 2 x MAT Poses for a highly detailed rusty, graffiti appearance for both the Droid and Saucer.
* 3 x MAT Poses for a rust only appearance for both the Droid and Saucer.
* 6 x General Poses for the Droid
* 5 x Piloting Poses for use with the Droid and Saucer in combination, covering the forward, reverse, neutral, left and right flying positions of the Saucer lever controls.
* 2 x Light sets for use with the Saucer to turn ON and turn OFF the anti-gravity effect of the Transport Saucers globes.
This versatile and detailed character model will suit any futuristic or Sci Fi scene.
