I posted this yesterday and it is still up for approval.

I recently had this happen on one of my uploads.
It showed as sold after accidentally being moved to the wrong file section. Somehow bots got it since it never went public.
Interesting I had that as well a few weeks ago and thought maybe I did something wrong and "the other sites" just uploaded at the same time (which was most unlikely to be honest).
I think too that one of the mods is leaking it. ps-ds.info isn't a paid site though, I'm well aware that the things I'm posting here will get to other sites too.
I just didn't expect that it would go to other sites before its even posted 😀

So we're back to this old chestnut again?
As a mod here I am fully aware that anything I may say will be disregarded by those who choose to, so I'll just speak as myself. (No that anyone will belive me).
Has it ever occurred to anyone that there may be other people out there that obtain and share items to other sites? People not related to this site.
It just baffles me that some of you guys automatically think that someone here is responsible for sharing your files, when it could all just be coincidence.
We all know that there are some members who are so-called 'spies' for other sites and they grab what they can and share elsewhere. This is what we get for having a free site.
The whole notion of what we do here, or on the majority of other sites, is to share items. Whether this is done freely or hidden behind a paywall is irrelevent. However an item is posted, wherever it is posted, it eventually ends up being spread around anyway.
Refusing to share items is of course your choice, though as you've seen they end up everywhere anyway so it kind of defeats the point, and only hurts our community.
That said, I think that the bottom line is that if you don't wish to see your items shared elsewhere, then don't share them anywhere and quit griping about all of us being pirates!
Well said Tomsk, I for one joined this group to share what I have. I have been collecting items for over 15 years. I have used all types of sources to obtain my items such as websites, torrents, UseNet and even purchased items when I can. My health and a few other obligations keep me from sharing as often as I would like. I am a disabled Marine living on a disability check and trying to raise a family. I normally keep quiet about issues on sites but this one hit home so I'm adding my two cents worth on it, so everyone can take it as just that my thoughts. The reason a lot of us come to sites like this one is so we can get items we can not afford to buy and to help others that may be in the same boat, that is why sites like these are around. Like Tomsk said it is truly each individuals choice on whether to share or not. I personally have no problems with people sharing what I post here or on other sites. We are all supposed to be trying to help each other. Who cares if an item is posted on one or 300 sites? The only reason we should complain is if someone uses artwork we personally create for things like the contests without asking us first or if they claim it as there own. So if anyone has issues with my comments then that is your choice, I am only speaking my mind. Life is complicated enough to not find issues as small as something posted here being found on another site to worry about. I will step down off my soap box now.
Sharing is just that, either share it or don't.
There are plenty that do & appreciate others doing so.
Whether the customer is paying the artist or a pirate is their own choice.
Personally, I buy from legit sources & get the rest from free sites like this.
Items I upload for share are just to this site only.So where do you share that absolutely nothing gets leaked?

Since others profit from this site do you still download from here or their site? Again, if not please link me in a PM where I can join this wonderland.
Or do you just take advantage of those that share and let content othets could be enjoying sit on your HD?
I dont see much difference between the two. Both use people for their own benifit.

There are, without doubt, some assets that "show up" on other sites at the _exact_ same moment (or even before they're approved here), that definitely comes from here - they've gotten better at it, but when they don't even bother to switch out the Mega-link... you know how it goes.
However, and this is the important part - stuff on here sells. Not as much as it would if there weren't free sites out there posting the same stuff, by all means, but still, you can make points and help the community on here, and collaborate with other creators - competitions, help for finding stuff, just posting your renders... all this means there's a community.
Bitching about stuff you post here popping up on other sites... yeah, that's just hypocrisy. If you share something here, you're a pirate. End of story. If you download something from here (or any other "free" site), you're a pirate. Now get off your high horse, and share the shit you have available so more pirates can enjoy it.
The first thing I usually do, if I buy something on DAZ, or Rendo, is share it here - I might wait a day or two, so as to not "flag" stuff, but I share what I have. Granted, I probably have a lot of stuff that I haven't shared, but that's mostly because I hoard stuff, and can't be arsed going through 16000+ assets to see what isn't on here yet.
Here is part of a PM Conversation I had with a new member very recently.
if it were more private there would be less content. People take from here because this place is the best place for sharing. Before this there was a torrent site called KAT and there were no forums or requests you just hoped someone would share and hoped they were no viruses or corrupt files. Site stole from KAT and uploaded them also. Thieves stealing from thieves. I share because others do. If nobody shared there wouldn’t be a ZoneGFX. Same when KAT was working. Some files would seed for months others for a few days. If you had a bad connection you might complete a file to 98% and it would never work. Ive downloaded do much stuff I could probably buy a house with the cash I saved. So me sharing is a way to give back to others that share. If some people that are just leaches benifit then I just need to overlook it.
Think about the people that mske the product. How would you feel if it took a week to make a character and it was posted for free? Im sure the artist that made it isnt happy. Or Daz for not getting a portion of the sale. So why should I complain? It took me awhile to come to that conclusion but, it makes sense.@errilhl well spoken 😉
To be honest I don't care about points, if they wouldn't be here, I would still do the same as I do now, so others can benefit as I also.
I am more interested ifthere is really an issue with files sometimes get to the wrong section and are in the wild before shared here, so I just know it wasn't something I did wrong. And if there is a fix for that possible?
Somebody posted Le Village – Bundle here last night. This was on SkyBack mid-afternoon yesterday (ie many hours before it was here). It is possible that someone might have taken an item from Skyback and posted it here. Crisis! Outrage! I will never post again! Oh, wait a minute. They took it from elsewhere and posted it here, this is completely legitimate, its only when material from ZoneGFX is posted elsewhere that we shoukdl complain.
Or is there a flaw in my argument?
