Hello, just FYI, because I have other things to do... when I see one of my posts is dead, I repost it, which seems normal to me, but am I really that stupid as to have to redo the research (I have dozens of hard drives totaling over 400TB) and republish them, not to mention the broken links where I added new ones... well, the latest "comment" I received, as impersonal as it was unwelcome given my volunteer work, makes me reconsider my position. The format could have been corrected (there were only 4 or 5), but the content reflects what's published here. On the one hand, follow-up is requested, on the other, I get rebuffed for minor details and my posts are deleted. I am among the fathers of computing and only come here for fun during my last years devoted to animation, believe me, I will not insist on justifying myself to the little "bosses"!

So because you’re such a busy person, you figured it’s perfectly fine to dump the work of properly formatting your posts onto the “idle” moderators, who — in your view — apparently have nothing better to do than dig through the internet to find descriptions and proper images for your posts.

As is often the case with this kind of site, you're confusing seriousness with fun. That's your problem.

Just being realistic, all I see these days are character proposals, mostly female and young, and increasingly scantily clad. Should I draw any conclusions from this, given how much time I spend on these sites?
It's true that the current trend is to criticize others without actually living their own lives. It wasn't like that before. This is just an observation, not a judgment, because everything I write will be interpreted, making it a controversial topic. Simply understanding seems difficult.

If it's a hassle to repost following the rules, then don't do it. Someone else will post it eventually.
Probably a good reason not to have started this thread if the intent was for it to lead somewhere. Even better to not respond to posts if its a pointless waste of time but, time as valuable as it is, isn't something we value is it? We value pretending what we say here matters in some way or we wouldn't post. Guess we don't have anything better to do than waste portions of our life here responding to people we wouldn't piss on if they were on fire but please, continue.
@d0gg0d What better way is there to waste portions of our lives than indulging in some irreverent banter with our crewmates? Now, vis-Ă -vis pissing on people, the last time I did that, and I won't say whether he was on fire or not, although the video of my scorched mudflaps, which subsequently appeared on the cheeky bar stewards TikTok, which led to some less than complimentary comments about how generous they were, might be an indicator. So... I've forgotten the point I was going to make, but isn't this just the grandest of ways to not go gentle into that good night?

I think the condescending tone of the rambling OP encouraged the tone of the responses.

In my defence, I thought the topic was bleating incoherently without context. As punishment, I'm denying myself the jaunty little Beaujolais on the top shelf of my fridge, and forcing myself, instead, to drink that nasty shiraz on the bottom shelf.

2- I don't understand all this rambling about something you don't understand; usually, you just have to ask...
3- Rereading without preconceived notions already helps you grasp the meaning of the message.
