Moving on with life can be hard.
Sometimes you need to know when to let go.

Bottom line is,I will no longer be selling characters.
You can thank PC "woke" culture for that.
November 21, 2023 at 7:43 PM #2043968I read the last post attached to her gallery and can't believe it's gotten to the point where ANY depiction of a younger figure is assumed to have sexual connotations. While I don't use young figures, I hope she starts her own site and continues to sell. I'll buy one just to support her, then tell Daz to fuck the hell off for being assholes.
What's next....will all children be required to wear a full length paper bag with eye holes cut in them when out in public?
Sheesh!November 21, 2023 at 7:56 PM #2043969After I was posting this I read the comments below on the daz site. I'm hope she/he will continue the work with characters.
November 21, 2023 at 8:17 PM #2043971Renderosity is a shit site… You can't even change your personal details from your account, you actually have to fuckin' check out in their shitty store! I refuse to buy anything from that store anyway as there's a shit tonne of mediocrity there as they have no curation for their products whatsoever!
Daz has a superior shopfront, yet their forums are run by assholes that play favourites!

Thank you everyone for your support. I'll look into getting a website going. If anyone of you are qualified to create a website where people can pay for my creations. I would gladly take the offer. The only reason why I do not have my own website is because I dont know enough about web design and I am so busy with my art that I do not have time to run a website and make art at the same time. To contact me. My Email is [email protected]
November 22, 2023 at 3:38 AM #2044022It's not just Renderosity. She's had plenty of acrimonious run-ins with the mods on the Daz forums too. I don't think they have any moral issues, but what they worry about is if Paypal/Amazon blocks transactions for perceived underaged content..... moolah speaks all languages.
December 21, 2023 at 4:10 AM #2049432Angel Wings is still selling Octavia and Chloe on Daz3D, though.
Also, slightly off-topic, but Angel Wings is actually a man.
December 21, 2023 at 1:50 PM #2049493I skipped over this for some reason...
I LOVE AW's work!
Even though I had no use for the complete characters, the textures were very toon-friendly, and parts of his morphs were perfect partial contributors for rounding out the face, and in concert w/ the youth morphs, went a long way towards straightening-out the arms/legs (yes, again, toon stuff.)
Wish he'd have done some Genesis 9 stuff...
December 21, 2023 at 8:43 PM #2049564The last decade has been a woke sh1t show. While I'm no fan of censorship it is welcome in certain cases. Images here are censored to be work friendly. I'm unsure of the percentage but Id assume a large percentage of Daz users use it for more that just "art". If the images we provocative in any way they should be removed. Theres no place for that even if its just a 3d model. I recently was banned from making reviews on Amazon for leaving reviews after years of doing so. Some douche decided they didnt like them I guess. So I deleted my account. Will be more difficult to shop now but Fkem. Seems its here to stay for awhile so Id get use to it.
December 22, 2023 at 2:20 PM #2049681Totally understand the need for censorship to some degree - the principle goes for any site that wants to avoid becoming a shitpit of degeneracy. There are places for that, and I understand it, but this isn't one of those places (for which I am grateful.)
In the case of AW, this is doubly true: his creations were of child-shaped characters, so we (the blog) definitely don't want to allow anyone to post renderotica-grade stuff with them here (anyone who does deserves to be hunted down and then fed feet-first into a woodchipper - and no, I don't care if it's technically legal or not. Shit's just wrong and revolting. Even Renderotica will immediately kick you to the curb if you tried doing it there.)
@d0gg0d - Agreed on Amazon. Here in the US, there are lots of online alternatives for general stuff (Walmart, Costco) and for specialized stuff I'll seek out specialized sites (example: I do a lot of target shooting and I love to go hunting, so Ammoseek is my go-to for finding ammunition at great prices). I haven't used Amazon in years.December 22, 2023 at 7:31 PM #2049734You have fun shooting animals GOF? Some might call that degeneracy.... no offence intended.
December 23, 2023 at 8:55 PM #2049964Been doing ammoseek since the Obama scare. Mostly target shoot now but haven't been in about a year. the price of ammo is still high and I'm taking care of a toddler now so Ive little time for anything,
A lot of hunters wont kill what they don't eat. At least I don't. I haven't been hunting in awhile for that and other reasons. Some people would just rather let an assembly line kill their meal. My wife said she felt sorry for the deer I shot about 5 years ago. I asked her if she felt sorry for boiling crabs alive or for the chicken she was BBQ-ing. She didn't have much of a response other than she felt that was 'different". She also doesn't mind chopping the heads off fish I bring home.
Interesting that when I was in Vietnam her aunt went in the back yard and snapped the neck of a chicken to cook for us, She didn't mind that either. Its how you perceptive things I guess. I saw several dogs in cages over there and they weren't being sold as pets.
December 25, 2023 at 12:35 PM #2050193Well said.

I do go hunting, but only for animals I have recipes and a palate for; deer, elk, duck, feral pigs, and suchlike. No sense in sport-hunting an animal if you're not going to put its flesh to use once you kill it (especially with the price of meat these days). And no, I have no respect at all for trophy hunters.
December 27, 2023 at 11:06 PM #2050598My views are doubtless the result of living in a country without a gun/hunting culture like the US, and where owning a firearm without demonstrable and specific reason is not allowed. The hunting that does occur is mostly of introduced pest or feral animals and not for food/recreation.
