    I unchecked the CPU box in advanced render settings just to see if my gpu would play any role in the render. It's at like 30 Celsius and 0% according to hardware monitor. It just doesn't seem to be taxed in any way while my CPU is dimed even when I uncheck that box in render settings. Why is this?

    If your GPU's VRAM is not enough for your scene, the render job (if fallback is enabled) will fall back to your CPU 🙂

    I have an RTX 3080. It's not an entry level graphics card. It's damn good. It's still not getting any kind of load when I render things, and if I uncheck the cpu entirely it's still taxing the CPU while doing nothing to the GPU.

    Dabbler sang, please check "Render Settings"→“Advanced" make sure your GPU is checked,
    if it still doesn't work， what driver are you using? The latest drivers are not guaranteed to be the best working ones.
