Suggestion for Banner contest.
Sizes of the render has to be 1024px × 576px
Must include "ZoneGfx" text in the render
Must not contain nudityTwo winners will be selected. 25,000 each. ( or more depending )
May enter multiple times but can only win once.

Thanks for taking the lead on this Adam. As I mentioned previously I'm happy to put 5000 pts into the prize pool.
1024px × 576px is very small for these days and probably why the current one looks blurry on my monitor. Perhaps rather than a size, a ratio that matches 1024px × 576px would be better, ie 4:3.I hope that the 1024px × 576px [as pointed out by monk in another thread] can be multiplied by a factor of
x2 [2048 x 1152] or
x4 [4096 x 2304]
and hopefully the website will able to "handle" it properly.

It's up to the community as to what you want to see. My vote is to leave it as open as possible. I don't want to force someone into a Sci-Fi corner if they love fantasy. Movies come in all shapes and sizes so that's a broad spectrum.
A render size should probably be set. I'm up for 2K maybe even 4k but I'm not sure how other systems will handle that. I'd like to have as many people as possible. 2K may be some peoples limit. Any more input on this would be great.
Again, I'm open to all suggestions and input. I'd like this to bring the community together and get as many entries as we can.
Do you like having 2 winners or should we have 1 or 3? The pots up to 60k now.

I hope we set the minimum to 2048 x 1152 +, since as Frank21 and Legolas18 pointed out, 1024px × 576 is smol and blurry.
Seems like we need Monk (or Hunter) to chime in. Can we rotate/randomize two or three or four splash images easily? Or should we choose one winner and have a few consolation (point) prizes for runners-up? I'd prefer a couple winners and a few consolation point prizes, but I don't really care as long as the ninjagirl is out. I also think the @Pooper / Legolas18 image should get special consideration.
While I'm also happy to keep it open, here are my suggested themes:

The actual image size shouldn't matter Adam so long as this site's HTML CSS or Java can scale it to fit proportionally. A 2K limit would seem fine for most of us even with 4K screens. What we wouldn't want is images not 4:3 that would be stretched or compressed on the page, or smaller images that would look blurry on a higher resolution screen.
I'm holding off on sending points until "the powers that be" give sanction to us actually running a comp on a subject that is currently not officially approved. Maybe they're asleep ATM LOL.
The more winners the merrier. And the higher the amount of entries.
How about places 1-3 get a share of 50% from the pot.
Something like:
1st place 25%
2nd place 15%
3rd place 10%The remaining 50% gets split equally between all the members that entered but didn't place in the top 3.
In practice it would look like this:
With a 65k pot:
1st place 16250
2nd place 9750
3rd place 6500places 4+ 32500 / x entries.
Problem is with a low amount of entries like 4 entries. You wanna place 4th 🙂The ideal would be at least 8 entries to prevent it from being skewed to the 2nd half.

++It would be nice to show a special banner/splash page with a notification of the competition for as long as the competition runs.
We could divide points but if they can rotate pictures like they use to then whoever is selected wins. Either way is fine IMHO. Even if they dont rotate it they can change it each month or so.
I didn't expect to receive points till the contest started if at all. We'll see what happens with Monk and Ill either send him the points, send the winner the points or refund the points. I'd like to get the contest finalized in the next week or so if possible.
I think it would be relatively easy to have the winning banners show on a slider like on Zonegfx 2.0 I remember the slider got dropped when there were server issues. The banners wouldn't cause a big load with Cloudflare and Browser caching.
I would like to ask @Hunter to please optimize the site Menu to show all the Community forums in the same way as the All Posts. The Art show case and Art competition is kinda hidden the way it is now. Building the community is good for everybody here.
In previous contests the prizes were 10000 points to each entry chosen as a banner. That worked really well to get lots of entries.
