Not the real ones or I wouldn't have been teaching for the last 24 years, but my god these 3D kids are hard to work with compared to adults.
Today to challenge myself and satisfy my masochistic streak I tried making a kid. Not sure why because I never render kids. After many face-transferring errors and dial twiddling and re-proportioning and re-texturing this was the result. I won't try that again.
I did find out that if you try to face transfer a Growing Up figure you end up with a giraffe. But if you first face transfer the adult figure and then do the Growing Up bit, you can get acceptable results, but nowhere near perfect.

Good job. I'd have her Zbrush for that final look if face transfer can't give good results. I used the plugin once, the results looked awful and I never used it again. But you've shown what can be done 🙂
BTW which outfit is she wearing?

April 14, 2022 at 12:13 AM #1795745Ew.. children suck.
Edit: I like the bruise on her knee.

Part of being a kid invariably involves scabs on either or both knees for most of their childhood. They're physically active, do dumb things and growing fast. Adults have a fixed physique and don't need to adapt to rapidly changing body proportions like kids. The band-aids I've applied to knees and elsewhere over the past 20+ years would run into the high hundreds.April 14, 2022 at 12:40 AM #1795750Damn children and their many expenses! I do like her head proportions though. That is one thing I hate about most daz models. Most of their heads look like they belong on an infant with Progeria. 😮 Sorry, that might have been rude. Anyway..
Take care!
April 14, 2022 at 12:57 AM #1795754The head on body proportions were the hard bits I mentioned earlier. Have you ever looked at a render or worked on something for so long that you can't really tell if it's any good anymore? Everything blends into a meh and your visual perception shifts - Troxler effect.
