    Nice!

    Sign of the times. The same as when Playstations and PC's hit the homes of the masses.

    I got inspired to do some renders after watching re run of the movie "The Lawnmower Man"
    Hard to believe that was way back in 1992.

    @D0gg0d "They look like actual people to."

    @Frank22

    Every time I try to dial in a normal looking person I always end up with a Barbie Doll or Conan.

    I cant break the habit. I try to add a little belly or muffin top and it constantly escape me.

    Its pleasant when I see 3D people that look like people and not runway models.

    @D0gg0d From another post you pointed out the expectations vs reality conundrum. I don't think most of the people who use Daz are that interested in reality when it comes to the models they buy, so Barbies and Conans and fantasy/sci-fi clothing are hugely the most popular products sold. So be it but it's refreshing to see images that step away from that mold.

    I'm in-between the dilemma. My initial goal is to render an image that makes a person do a double take to see if it's real. Realistic skin, pose, hair. Lighting, ect... That said, I want just enough imperfections to make it look real but as few of them as possible. Less is more philosophy. I see some skins that are littered with way to many moles, scars and discolorations when just a few would be enough.(reality over done) I've been running into the problem of proportions where the head looks to big for the body or the mouth/eyes looks cartoonish. I sometimes over dial my test subjects. There are only a handful of good skins I tend to use often.

    I start with good intentions but constantly fall into the trap. I am however seeing more "normal" looks figures pop up if I can just keep them that way.
