    Is there an easy way to transfer morphs between similar clothing items, please?

    I'm talking DS & G8F clothing items.

    Thanks.

    Well, i asked a question pretty similar to yours a good while ago here and didn't get any good answer/lead.

    I hope you'll get better luck than i did. I'll be really interesting in knowing a way to do that too.

    By the way, i did search the official daz forum for some kind of answer back then and, as usual, that place is so convulated with no real precise answer and way to do it.

    Anyway, from what i could find out, there may be a way to do that (i think), with the "Transfer Utility" tools (Edit --> Object --> Transfer Utility). But how exactly and if there is an easy method to use that tool, i don't know. Maybe you'll be better than me and you can find a good walkthrough on how to do it.

    Yeah, I thought it was the kind of question that popped up from time to time, & I couldn't remember any straightforward explanation of how it might be done with basic tools & limited knowledge.

    Thanks for the reply anyway.

    Hey ellgoo - seems I can't reply to this msg, anyway I'll try again.

    Checkit1414 is right, load booth pieces of cloth and use the Transfer Utillity, it really is that simple.

    Oh OK I'll try that when I have a bit of quality time available.

    Thanks.

    Transfer Utility: as source you use the item you want the morph transfered from, as target the one you want the morph transfered to. Leave the rest as is, go to "show options", uncheck everything but morph target. Select morph target to get the advanced options, check all. Uncheck fit to source figure and parent to sf. You can also transfer only selected morphs, if you favorite them beforehand and use "favorites in morph target advanced settings. Thats it.

    @maxxp2

    Oh wow, thank a lot Sara1985. That's it. That what i think i saw somewhere on daz forum a long time ago, but it was so badly explained with tons of other text for optional situation, it was way too much confusing.

    I'll copy/paste your guide line here into my note so i can remember them.

    Again, thank you sooo much!

    Edit ---> Objet ---> Transfer Utility. (First choice at the top)

    Thanks for the reply.

    I'm only getting 'Change Parent' under that drop down tree.

    Do I have to have an item selected to see that option?

    Wait...what ? No.

    Wether you have something selected in your scene or not, you should still be able to see that option. With a tons of other too by the way.

    Are you sure you are at the right place ?

    The "Edit" i'm refering to is the one that is located in the top left corner of Daz Studio's window. Nudged between "File" and "Create". ( "Alt-E" for keyboard short cut )

    Then you should see the good ol' Undo/Redo twins, Copy, Paste, Duplicate, Delete and theeen Object !!!!
    It's then the first choice at the top of that second menu. Transfer Utility. It has a little icone with a round shape and an arrow, kinda like the "male gender symbole".

    If you still can't find it, i'll look to paste you a picture.

    Yep, that is where I am looking.
    I'm only seeing 'Change Parent' under that heading.

    Perhaps if there is a keyboard shortcut for the transfer utility, I can get it to pop up & then drag it into a sidebar tab?

    @eelgoo
    The fact that you are seeing only "Change Parent" in the edit menu of Daz Studio worry me a lot. O.o
    There should be A LOT of option there in that menu. Maybe something is really wrong with your copy of Daz Studio or.....you have a very "special" customized interface. Ha ha ha ha!

    This is what you should see normaly. (This is under Daz V4.10. I don't know how the other version are, but i doubt they are much different.)

    Sans-titre

    Has far as i could see, there don't seem to have any keyboard shorcut by default to get there.

    But you can maybe customize one to help you get there. All you have to do, is to go into the "Customize" menu. ( Window ----> Workspace ----> Customize ) or ( "F3" for keyboard shortcut )

    Capture

    Once there, find the Transfer Utility tab and then, just enter the custom shortcut that you want while right-clicking with your mouse on it.

    @Checkit1414

    Ah yes I must have clicked on something odd.

    Once I restored to my preferred work space layout, it has re-appeared.

    Many thanks for your help.
