3D Underwater Fauna: African Cichlids
Take your runtime straight into the photo realistic animal kingdom with the African Cichlids!

Cichlid is the common name for tropical sweet water fishes that live in the big lakes of Africa and South America. They are truly unique in their huge diversity of shapes, sizes and colors. Their strength and temperament also make them very popular as aquarium fishes. In African Cichlids you get 13 different individual fishes, and just as many pre-made schools, 28 models total! The schools enable you to populate your scenes with large amounts of fish very fast.

Each individual fish and school comes with a variety of morphs, to quickly make them feel come alive. They have morphs for bending, for fins, for mouths, and for the schools, you can even randomize their positions in the schools, to even quicker make variations in your scenes! To simplify it even further, they are simple objects with morphs, so they are cheap, fast and easy to load into your scenes. It also makes them simple to export into other 3D programs.

This product has full support for both Poser and Daz Studio. You will receive separate installation files for DAZ Studio, including custom materials for Iray (see promo images).

The models are made in fairly low resolution, a few hundred polygons per fish, except for the big ones, which have a few more. They are modelled with great attention to optimization, with polygon detail where they need it the most. For their small size, the texture resolution is sharp and crisp, 2k texture for the big one, 1k textures for the medium ones, and 0.5k textures for the really small ones. They are based of real live photos of cichlid fish, so realism is guaranteed. With these optimized models and textures, you can make huge scenes of hundreds of fish with ease and fast render times.
