In the past, I have been quite successful in taking V4 - G3F.
The downside was it had to go via G2F, putting in an extra iteration.
I have not managed a successful G3F to G8F conversion yet.
It would have been so much simpler if RSA had kept his word. That said, if there is an easy V4 - G8F one hit conversion, that would be great.

The export to Poser format is for simplicity so you are sure it is in cr2 format in a folder, and you have applied all the inject you may want for your character, since most often from what I have seen V4 characters arrive as inj for the base V4 (and separate for different parts of the body).
That way, you can tell GenX to create one morph for the whole, so you also avoid mutiplying too much the morphs (Turboloader tools are nice, but if you can avoid buying them, it is better for you).
For the legacy UV for G3, yes, load using the duf with materials converted.
I have converted some textures with Texture Transformer, but I never got around to try the converted textures - if using that solution, you will not need the "legacy for G3" product, but it seems Texture Converter and its add-ons are difficult to come by, I have seen apparently the shop on Renderosity was closed down.
@eelgoo, given that I have been accumulating (purchases included, lot of them over more than two years, not only download) lot of assets but not done a lot, I have not played much with that, also because having the "clones", I just put clothes for V4 on G8 and G3 (not done the viceversa, though should work) and seem to work often decently enough, but...
For the G3F to G8F one way that should work would be to use trasfer utility in DAZ to transfer only the specific morphs you need from the G3F version, then the textures for G3 and G8 are the same (if the G3 are not Iray, you may need to use a "coverter" for the materials).
Another solution, that I used for now only in one case, is to use a product called "Character Converter from Genesis 3 Female to Genesis 8 Female", it took a relatively long time (more than one hour), but it worked fine.
Though that character was a G3F native character, I needed to have it in G8 to be able to use some add-on (so, I may end up doing it for a couple more characters, maybe).
I add to do it as conversion of a custom character (the software has two options, stadard conversion and conversion of a custom character), because I had made it using a a pre-made character modified using various morphs, then with using the texture from another character, adding up a LIE texture modification.
In theory that should work also if you have a V4 character converted to G3F, although it is a two-steps process (V4 to G3F, then from G3F to G8F).
If using the Texture converter approach, the converted textures would be in theory already compatible also with G8, only need to apply them (manually, the first time :-() and maybe then add the Iray materials, though as I wrote, I did not try seeing the effect on the converted character yet.
If instead you prefer the "legacy UVs" approach, you can follow what I suggested to jr96, the Legacy UV product exists also for G8 (and I think you can find it even here on ZoneGFX, although in my case if I am not wrong I had bought it with an offer) -
