If this is anywhere close to what a PS-5 will be capable of then Daz and Poser are toys compared to the software being used out there.
this was interesting in my browsing
December 31, 2019 at 12:11 pm #1404087ADAM: well you can't compare what we do with daz and the production of professional studio with hundred of artists working for the same project….And it's not the software that makes the beauty of an animation it's the person behind it. The software is just a tool(in the videos maybe unreal engine, cryengine, blender, maya etc...). You can have Lewis Hamilton's car, you'll never drive like him.

Visit here. I personally dont believe all these artists needed help. Also believe some well done short animations could consist of a studio with 5 talented people, maybe less.
December 31, 2019 at 4:24 pm #1404378you're right but they have talent, it's probably their job, and probably have a long experience. This is not my case, I have no pretensions, I have been doing this as a hobby for a year. Daz simply allows me to do what I need, and that quite easily. Then you have to compare what can be. Go see on deviantart with the tag DAZ and you can see that it goes from very good to really bad (knowing that as soon as there is a naked girl or breasts it is success assured regardless of the quality of the rendering or the work done). To conclude this long parenthesis, everyone does as he wants with his own means and emotions .

Now that is an interesting question.
I think you are going to get different colours of responses on that one.I was a Poser user from 4 onwards.
Initially I didn’t gel with DS 1 & soldiered on with Poser up to 11 IIRC.
As soon as Iray appeared, being an ultra-realism freak, I made a determined attempt and it gelled really well for me.Wouldn’t go back now.
You taked my words out of my mouth. I am on Poser from version 2 till 11 PRO.Today I not back to POSER. In DAZ much more tools and other useful things
January 5, 2020 at 2:32 pm #1412618DAZ Studio and Poser lay claim to the category of programs for professionals. In fact, developers mislead their users. For me, professionalism is the ability to easily manipulate animation modules. The character should be animated by default, as in games. He should not stand still like a tree, but move from foot to foot, turn his head slightly and blink his eyes. I set a new point to move and indicate the time to move. The program moves the character to a new place automatically. This is what I call a program for professionals. But it seems that such programs will not appear in the life of one generation. The world is waiting for decline and ruin from digital technology.
January 5, 2020 at 2:40 pm #1412632Some folk do animation, probably a lot more do single frame renders. 🙂
January 5, 2020 at 2:46 pm #1412640The second serie of the film "Attraction" was released on Russian cinema screens. The film is called "Invasion".
January 5, 2020 at 2:52 pm #1412649DAZ Studio does not contribute to the creation of animation due to the very slow rendering. You must choose what is more relevant for you? Either you choose photorealistic single frames with a long render, or you choose less realistic images for animation and with fast render times.
This is called process optimization.
January 5, 2020 at 3:14 pm #1412673I do not animate but with the motion capture why would it be difficult to animate?
Rendering is just a matter of resource power right? The more you have the faster it renders.
So if I link motion capture and Daz, why would animation be a problem? Unless my system couldnt handle the request.
January 5, 2020 at 3:42 pm #1412740Let's assume that your work does not bring you profit. You do this for your pleasure during your leisure hours. In this case, you do not need a lot of equipment.
You need a lot of time to customize the animation. Rendering is the tenth thing and does not depend on your ability to create animations. Therefore, let's separate flies from cutlets.
Motion capture equipment is not a convenient tool if you know how to create movements in key frames. I can only agree with one argument in favor of motion capture equipment.
This is if you create a film about athletes or supermen, where there are many active movements in each frame. If you are making a film about the crew of a spaceship whose team members are constantly sitting in chairs and pressing buttons on the control panel, then in this case you do not need equipment to capture the movement. Your animation skills for seated pilots may be enough for you.
Here we again come to the conclusion that the right strategy should be chosen for any process.
