i don't think it's the model. I feel it's more the textures, settings, and lighting. DAZ Studio has limitless possibilities and combinations, with normals, bumps and SSSs and other techniques, you can make a low polygon model, look extremely detailed, as with most gaming engines.
Here is custom genesis 2 i was working on for another piece of software, textures aren't 100% complete, but i feel it looks just as good as some of my G8 work. This is pure DAZ render, the face morph and textures are something i made.
