    @ulysses, thanks for the clarification.

    @d0gg0d
    , maybe I was wrong in assessing your past contributions, and if so—I apologize. But my stance remains the same. 95% of request fillers now exchange and share content privately.

    No one wants to be one of the 10 givers for 10,000 takers who never give back. No one wants to risk an account holding thousands of dollars in purchased assets because of some leech who doesn’t care about your requests.

    That’s why the blog’s activity has dropped—and that’s the only reason.

    As for points, we don’t need them. We share among ourselves without any points. The most important things we have are trust, respect, and mutual support.

    I was never a whale but my intent was to share what I had. I also purchased stuff I figured others might not. Odd characters for example. I bundled and posted a LOT of old content.

    When it became apparent people were holding content for points I purchased some items they wouldnt share and posted them to the general public.

    Once its became apparent that the site was under a hostile takeover and content was being forced through a few people that decided they could run things without the need for a site front and hunters involvement I deleted my links and have only posted one item since that I can remember.

    ATM I have quit my job to take care of an adopted child and am being supported by my wifes income. I also am assisting my mother during my fathers passing so on the rare occasion I have spare money its probably not going towards Daz unless its something I cant live without.

    When I have spare time I will occasionally use Daz to relax and get inspiration from the contest here. I used to run them when I had points and often if I won one Id just reinvest the points into another contest. Now I feel people have mostly lost interest in contest as seen by the fact mods no longer run them. You can look at very old sections of the site and see how they stopped caring.

    If mods don't care and sharers only care to trade amongst themselves the site is dead. AI hasn't helped and Im slowly lose interest to even log in anymore.

    Im old school and posted to share and have fun within the community. Fk the points. Once that went away I ceased to give a fk.

    @maddy

    My intent is to share with everyone. Sure leaching pissed me off every so often but a true pirate IMHO is about sharing. There is no way I could repay what Ive gotten over the years. Music, movies, programs, books, games, ect... and never once did anyone tell me I HAD to upload something or share something to get what I wanted. I did it because I felt the need to repay the community but it was never a requirement. Ive never once uploaded music or a movie but I have a lot. Ive occasionally photocopied RPG books for upload. I got a weird since of gratification being the first to upload a Daz item or find an old Daz item people thought was lost. It took only one person to remove that joy from this site and they are still here. The loss of a mod that used to interact with the community more didnt help. As said Ive been here a loong time and have seen the same arguments at least once every year. I think at least a few site changes "might" have been implemented from some of my suggestions.(or it could be wishful thinking)

    It may not seem like I appreciate shares but thats wrong. People dont need to o anything but they decide to because its a nice thing to help out those havenots. I say thank you even when I get a gift that sux. This person didnt have to get me anything but they did. The grandma gift where she forgets your 14 and not 8. You thank her and give her a hug
