Daz is going woke and there are no room for masculine males on the site anymore.
And yes there are way to little with male and i am talking about males not soys.
Also i don't use daz store anymore they are to woke and there NFT scame is stupid
If a store gets political i stop using them.Need more normal males and more cloth and hair been trying to learn to model hair.
December 20, 2021 at 1:28 am #1759571Men come in many flavors, no puns please. It saddens me to know that most people and companies are going to follow the current social treads of wokeness.
Men with good hair are hard to come by. So please do, Fragman.~F
December 20, 2021 at 2:46 am #1759580Let's be honest. I have been hearing "We need more products for males...We need more male hair...clothes...textures...blah, blah, blah" for 20+ years now. The fact is if the people complaining the most actually supported the merchants that made male based products, that complaint would've died ages ago.
Speaking from experience, male based products DON'T sell. When I was selling products, they were all male based. My income only partially supported my hobby, it never came close to being something that would put food on the table. People want "F*ck me" poses for Vicky in 1,000s of variations. They want lingerie, also in 1,000s of variations. They want hi heeled barely there battle outfits for females.
Merchants aren't adverse to making male products...they are adverse to wasting time making something that won't sell. So until those complaining start supporting merchants making male products, they will never be made in any sufficient quantities.Just my 2 cents

Soys = weak men lacking in masculine characteristics.. (I had to look it up).
December 20, 2021 at 5:28 am #1759638December 20, 2021 at 7:13 am #1759664@mxyzptlk I've heard that from lots of vendors, so I don't know why people don't believe it. It's basic economics.
I'm glad Daz seems to have moved toward more realistic clothes with less 'battle bikinis' but they've got quite a lot to do to make it up still. There are good male characters (Valentino, Torment, and Silas are personal favorites) and clothes but they're greatly outweighed by all the stuff for women.
December 20, 2021 at 8:08 am #1759670I think they have to make raw figures, hair prop, so artists will decide on Male/Female of the figure, and morphs to shape their characters and hairs
December 20, 2021 at 8:59 am #1759674I don't think I'm going out on a limb to suggest that most DS users are male and perhaps randy.... ticks both boxes for me.
Daz likes to present a merchant ivory image because it isn't good to associate anything to do with sex with Daz.com. And Daz relies on the money transfer system for its money so the fear of a 3D pron association could cut off its revenue flow, if the two were associated, it's foremost in minds. However the only reason why Daz sells female and male genitalia (with erection morphs) seems to negate their position that people would only render inoffensive cute non-sexualised flaccid Adan & Eve type renders LOL.... while banning any such images from their gallery. Why sell male junk if Daz themselves won't let you show it on their own site?
I don't think Daz.com are ignorant that many, well a lot of people use DS for erotic purposes, male and female or usually in conjunction, or to para-quote Nabokov, their eyebrows haven't exactly traveled all the way to the back of their bald heads in astonishment at what people are doing this with their app. They know exactly what's happening with the stuff they sell. Their trick is to completely disassociate themselves from supposed intended purposes from human nature and that has never worked.December 20, 2021 at 10:29 am #1759683
@mxyzptlk male products are still wanted and needed it's that simple yes they may not be on the best seller list but they will sell and I'm not saying all that are made will sell but then again NOT all female stuff sells it's that simple people need/want diversity , the world would be one boring place with out it.December 20, 2021 at 10:35 am #1759685I have to agree. It's really easy for me to find overly beefy guys or super butt-ugly guys, but it's so difficult to find male characters who look like your everyday guy. Somebody who could be a dad, goes to work at an office, etc. somebody with a stomach paunch but isn't overweight, etc.
Recently, I've been finding people who are making excellent face morphs for free though, but nothing for the body itself unfortunately.December 20, 2021 at 2:45 pm #1759770Apologies, I generally stay away from computers on weekends, so...
@Mxyzptlk : You nailed it.
@AnjaBear : Thx for the clarification. Legume was a bit of an odd duck; he would give you the very jockstrap off his crotch if you really needed one, but his bad side was notorious. I knew he pitched in at R'otica, but I never thought of him as an owner. I figured that his domain was more towards warlording over alt.binaries.poser and bouncing around in alt.slack, even long after usenet stopped being a thing that people did.
@frank22 : DAZ is presents a squeaky-clean image because they're based in Utah, which is still near-exclusively run by Mormons. Hard to be a porn purveyor in a place that still quite literally outlaws a lot of it, so DAZ walks a pretty fine line. They know where their bread is buttered, but will never admit to it in ten thousand years.
@auroramoon : It's hard to find average women, too. Stores are chock-full of monster boobs, botoxed "cat-butt" shaped lips, big butts, and pencil-diameter waistlines Skins are always perfect. Any "ordinary" female shapes are either fatties to the point of being ham-planets, or obvious "Loli" girls that seem almost perfectly built for the pedo set. All I can say is, thank Heavens for morph kits. Don't get me started about ethnic women, either - until recently, most were poorly-built modified WASP chicks with whose skin difference consisted of changing the Diffuse color of an existing Caucasian Merchant Resource set.December 24, 2021 at 10:57 pm #1760920
I don't find normal as compelling as abnormal
December 25, 2021 at 12:47 pm #1761079That's the problem they make what they THINK ppl want and ignore what ppl are asking for , u see it all the time they have 10 ppl wanting something made and they never make it , and u hear the excuse they don't think it will sell or it would cost tooo much money and time compared to sales and then they put out some thing that 1 person is willing to buy and its like someone is telling a bad joke and they are the ones telling it .
A good example of what I'm saying is why are all the NFT and NFPs female avatars ? and they include Non-binary ppl as a female yet that's not true, that's no way to support artists or ppl , should you not have all genders ? does not every artist/person matter ? every sex/race ect , it feels to me like they are a bunch of sexist people there, that only want/care about is the female shape/form and money.December 28, 2021 at 7:19 am #1761842I agree with "CoolCat" all female figures don't sell good, so the sold items count is not a reason to not making good male figures. I wonder why they don't do breasts as separate prop.
For people here that are sad about porn stuff, they can look in request section all SciFi items requested remain silent/few reply's, and without any answer -
