@masin, i didn't get the same error when i loaded 01_BriallenHDforAlexandra8, but if you google “Duplicate formula DAZ3D”
August 5, 2019 at 12:22 am #1189724I'm not sure but it wasn't doing that before. The only way I get rid of the error is when I uninstall that character. I also notice a lot of my errors say the item is missing when I search on my computer it's right there in my main Daz Drive...
There's no way for me to point to it and say it's right here or anything...
I know the duplicate formula has to do with some kind or morph I downloaded from Renderosity or something but I don't know what it is because all of the other error are the missing file errors what are sitting right in my drive.
The only thing I can think or is to go through my log file and uninstall every one of them from my computer.
I'm starting to hate Renderosity characters and morphs.
August 5, 2019 at 1:40 am #1189815Do you set file to overwrite each other? As Briallen vendor is Lyoness, Lyoness have several morph that shared by each his girl, which are the nail, and eyelashes morph, try to see around that one if you found some duplicate morph in Morph or Projection Morph
August 6, 2019 at 6:14 pm #1191966Is it possible to write a script that will only load G? with no morphs then allow morphs to be applied from drag and dropping?
Or something that would run once to detect all favorites then only load those when selecting saved favorite template 1,2,3, ect... not searching for any others.
For example I could favorite 10 face morphs, 15 body morph and 3 characters then save as a scene. when reloading this scene it would only look for 25 morph plus the 3 character morphs.
August 7, 2019 at 12:11 pm #1192915AnonymousInactiveRank:I had Briallen installed for a long time with no errors. I got the same message about duplicate formulas the moment I installed LY Domino.
August 8, 2019 at 2:30 am #1193736@adam, not really, daz loads whats in the morphs directory structure. If you really wanted that, you could create a new library with just the stuff/favorites you wanted in it, and not load the 2 Terabyte library lol.
October 12, 2021 at 12:24 am #1737611@Slackwave, how do you move only the “data” folder?
October 18, 2021 at 2:33 am #1739405**** AS ALWAYS, HAVE A BACKUP OF EVERYTHING ****
My process used the entire runtime folder as the move target, but this will work with any folder. (i do it for games, and 3d alike)
There are a few options, but i like using hard/symlinks to dynamicly link folders to other locations.Currently i have two SSD drives, one hosting the DazStructure, and i have put runtime on a separate SSD
In windows, close daz3d.
I Started with everything under: P:\DAZLibraries\StudioLibrary(P)
I made a new folder on my empty SSD, Q:\StudioLibrary(Q) and copied the content of:
P:\DAZLibraries\StudioLibrary(P)\Runtime
to it's new home
Q:\StudioLibrary(Q)\Runtime
(verify the copy is completed, i usually do this at command line with robocopy and the /e /s flags (google it, it's a native windows tool)
once you have your full copy, rename the original folder (you can delete it later) i renamed mine to runtime_old
then, create the symlink
at an elevated command line (Run as admin) the following commands makes the symlink:
P:\> cd P:\DAZLibraries\StudioLibrary(P)
P:\DAZLibraries\StudioLibrary(P)> mklink /j /d Runtime "Q:\StudioLibrary(Q)\Runtime"
symbolic link created for Runtime <<===>> Q:\StudioLibrary(Q)\Runtimenow when you browse to P:\DAZLibraries\StudioLibrary(P), you'll see the runtime folder, and browsing to it will look like its still on P:, but it's redirect to the data on q:.
You can do this within the same drive too, and it's easier, just cut and paste the folder.
Either method produces the same results, and in explorer window it'll look like a shortcut icon, thats normal, but if you do a DIR on it in command window, you'll see the symlink.
P:\DAZLibraries\StudioLibrary(P)\Content>dir /ad Volume in drive P is P NewDazLibraries Volume Serial Number is 2622-A8EA Directory of P:\DAZLibraries\StudioLibrary(P)\Content ... 01/20/2020 06:07 AM <JUNCTION> Runtime [Q:\StudioLibrary(Q)\Content\Runtime] ...
I use to 6GB/s drives to host my daz data, on separate sata busses. it's a lot faster, but i still haven't overcome whatever issue is bugging out my G8F models, some freaking morph is hanging the model on load... meh. I've only been using G2, and have done a ton of my own custom models with g2 now, and frankly, i've got them looking better then most of the g8s anyway. all that will have to change when the other software i'm using finally launches using g8f/m models. Then i'll just have to rebuild my content libraries, separating g2 and g8 stuff.
October 18, 2021 at 4:34 am #1739410Oh, and if you manually add content to your library folders, copy and paste still works, no need to paste everything in different locations, the content folder will have the symlinks and treat them like normal folders during a copy paste operation.
You can have multiple symlinks in one folder as well.
When i decide to rebuild this library (it's like 5TB now, and i'm dreading it, but it's coming) I'll create the base folder structure and symlinks b4 adding anything. Have 3 or 4 ssds to host the content library, which should increase load times as well.
March 27, 2022 at 11:37 pm #1789308would it be possible to fix the issues via editing the duf or dsf files?
March 30, 2022 at 5:08 am #1790148Someone made a Daz plugin that pipes the log output to the console window, so it works kinda like cmtrace. I gotta dig around a bit to find it again, but I believe we have it here in the blog.
lol AQ Jenna... it's not even that great a model. Maybe time to trim some runtime :p
March 30, 2022 at 6:41 am #1790175"I take 13 minutes to load a character 8.1" Jesus Christ almighty!
As Amber said, maybe time to trim some runtime, or more than just a trim.... a number 2 please.
