If the leeches want free items, go to r-state or similar pages.

    1) That's because previously points were not a chore to obtain, with the changes is going to be different, scarcity will hit, and most contributions will be between average to big contributors, if that happens what would be the difference between this and a completely private sharing community?

    2) Thanks, i forgot about that one.

    3) You are right, it will not die literally(maybe, if donations keep the current peace, server costs and that), but the activity will be so low that it might as well be considered a "private archive".

    4) You are right here too, nobody owes anybody anything, all sharing is voluntary and because of the heart of who shares, if nobody shared there would be no piracy, but if nobody downloaded it, there would not be any reason to share either.

    5) Happy to make you laugh jeje

i'm happy if the community gets a bit cleaned up of not active users/leechers, however I really would love for you to re-consider the expiring on points. I have been active in the last years but at times, because of work, i can't manage to use daz for a number of months and would be very sad to loose the points i accumulated by filling requests. I like to keep my points handy for when i need to make new requests or get some assets, and would be sad if they were to disappear all of a sudden. I am not a "rich" user by any means and took me a while to get where I am. I hope it may be reconsidered. Just my 2 cents. Cheers!

What about people who dont offer content but pay monthly for points? Is that not in a way contributing? What if I dont want to fill requests due to not being technically savvy to wipe the tracking info on the files from websites I purchased? Am I considered a leecher?

It's still very easy to gain points via a variety of methods for those willing to update dead content or *gasp* buy something to share. If one only relied on the daily points I can see why the new system is an problem for them but it's not insurmountable. Don't be lazy.

I acknowledge my first post explaining the problem was lengthy, so i will try to summarize it.

Your gained points are coming from PEOPLE, not from POSTING comissions, previously new points were MINTED by daily logins by users, so new points were created every day, and those were distributed from USERS(claiming those dailys and other contributors) to CONTRIBUTORS.

So, if no more new points are created/added to the economy and additionally are constantly burned by various systems, the points in the economy WILL DECLINE, posting dead links will bear almost no reward if at all, because users will not give their precious points to some repost(and it was already difficult to get them that way previously anyway).

    1) Donations (points minted) <- ONLY WAY OF CREATING POINTS
    2) Requests (Points distributed + Points burned)
    3) Blog posts (Points distributed + Points burned)

To sum it up: Only way of really getting points now is donations...

Just a small addon: The "maybe" list doesn't mean at all that we will implement everything. The point expiration requires a brand new DB and plugin set, so I would say there is a very low % for this to be added (also as I said we survey your feedback, and so far everyone said meh, so it's pretty much settled).

Also to folks who say, the only way to get "new" points is by donating money: In the request section there are currently 3.654.550 System "new" Points just from my account. We monitor the requests but we also boost offers in a user friendly way.
Also on the maybe list (IMO these are on the "high chance to be implemented" side):
    - Doing special days for selected requests, where the offered points will be doubled by the site.
    - Doing special weeks for reposting dead items on the blog for extra points.
    - Adding rewards for reports: Fake fills / Scammer reporting / Requests already on the blog / Dupe blog posts / Dupe requests
    +1 Don't forget Monk's item hunt list: (https://zonegfx.com/forums/topic/superduper-5000-points-pro-item-for-limited-time-check-weekly/)

Btw IMO "the rewarding the approved new blog posts" with a fix amount of credit is a good idea too.

@warrant63, Any opportunity you provide to legally and conscientiously earn points by contributing something useful to the community's development would be a good idea.

@fedefrasis And every item you collected from the blog over the years is still online and nothing went dead, nothing needs a repost?

@everyone-else There are currently 4193 dead posts on our blog (not counting the removed ones) with the "This Post Is Dead - Please Repost It" message. ~70% of these are old stuff and the files are all over the internet.

For example the "Sakura Anime Long Hair for Genesis 3 and 8 Female(s)", posted on December 26, 2017, went dead in 2018. I found 3x working links on leecher sites in 10sec. There are many free file hosts (Mediafire, Bunkr, Workupload etc etc), you can drop the files there and simply do a quick blog post with a little CTRL-C CTRL-V work.

Everyone can get much much more points by actually doing something for the community, with a tiny bit of work. But for a lot of people, it's not even an option...

We don't want anyone to start buying $1000 items or donating money to the site, just do what's possible and reasonable. Repost a dead item, do a blog post, fill a $2 DAZ item's request or just report dupes.

Btw our donated$ per point ratio is on purpose worse than doing posts and filling requests because encouraging the activity of the community is the #1 priority.
If you can donate, then donate, we are grateful for it, but don't start this shit that we want to direct everyone into buying points for real money.

Speaking of piracy, some do wholly believe that it means seeders are obliged to be leeched and nothing else. I've said the same thing in another thread, a majority of leeches expect a robin hood scenario everywhere they go.

Something to be reminded of, is that private trackers exist for a reason. You think piracy is all rainbow and sunshine? Wanna leech? Then SEED. Some of these trackers even specifically calculate seeding time in addition to ratio. You spend less time in seeding than leeching? Ratio is less than 1? Leaked some of the files out? Get your ass banned and fuck right off.

There must be something you'd like to see filled, which hasn't been filled already. That's the sole purpose many of you lurk here, to get something you want.

Then FILL it. After filling it, set a timer between 2-30 days, then post it to the public blog. Let me tell you, this action alone banks ~10,000 points (filled points + public points), if not more.

There are 100 pages of unfilled requests. Pick your poison. Some of them are less than 10$ with >10,000 points accumulated.

Not everyone is rich and could afford a thousands of these items. That's so true, couldn't agree more. That is precisely why we share amongst each other. That is, precisely, why freeloaders are usually being gate-kept by many sharing circles, including loads of private tracker out there, because they contribute nothing on putting their shares onto the table.

~70% of these are old stuff and the files are all over the internet.

Care to explain if the files are all over the internet then why would someone spend their "no longer free" points to get those files from here?

Besides the issue of points, re-hosting these files again from personal file-sharing accounts consumes valuable account storage quota which is pointless since the are already available elsewhere for free.

    What am I missing?
