The real question is: why did they skip G4 - G7? What's up with that?

Anyway, I would expect that whatever dev they do for DS and their figures, it will be geared to gaming (perhaps better Unreal integration) and not single frame rendering or animation. That's where they believe the money is.

I don't know guys what are you talking about. I have no talent for drawing graphical things. Daz Studio is a prosthetic arm for me. If you have talent (not skills) go and use professional softwares. This is so simple, don't complicate this. Cheers! 🙂

V , V2, V3 , V4 , Genesis The first androgenous attempt M5 V5, Genesis 2 thankfully split off again V6, Genesis 3 V7.
Then finally they saw sense & took the then next generation to Genesis 8 V8 which settled the anomaly in numbering. There were Michael equivalents too.

I do hope they don't revert to a single mesh. Usually you end up with an effete male or butch female. 🙁

Genesis 9 with is a unisex mesh. Are anatomical elements an extra ?
dforce clothing should prevent the clothing problems that genesis 1 had ?
Different bone names... Is the bone structure different to G8/3 ?
Is the mesh different ?
Is the UV different ?

Oh and the free gift is a bikini, appropriate eh...

I wonder how long they can keep doing this. In a couple years, G11 will have 32k textures and crash on startup; no matter which GPU you have.

Its hair will still be polygonal, unless they give outoftouch an explicit monopoly on the store.

dForce will recognize a single of your two 4090Ti's and take 15mins to run, but you'll have realtime physics on the AR app on your phone.

I'm slightly underwhelmed at this point.
It looks promising, but I need to be convinced how good the male & female base will pan out.
I can see why they use a common base, but it depends what the compromise works out like as to how much it will grab me.
I am keeping an open mind on it.

Was good that Jay showed alot of new figure and that he was able to answer some questions.
Its a shame that after seeing this new genesis 9 figure we have to wait for
another 3 weeks or so before it shows up in the daz store.
Was abit of a let down in the end......all hyped up and nowhere to go till mid October.

And in an hour-twenty presentation, not a single person thought to ask.

No idea if it's same "extra bones" scenario as G8, or improved. No idea if import/export will be FBX suffering all over again, or improved. All-dessert, no-meat-vegetables "event" again.
Who doesn't include such things in a 3D figure promotional announcement?

Same time as the V9 figure, around mid october onwards.

And he did show some extra bones, under the hip in the scene editor was also a spine1 and spine 2, although the good news was that there is a new bone minion in the works and manfriday had something for poses also.
