Totally overwhelmed......thank you
October 25, 2024 at 6:16 am #2097503Couple of years (maybe less) and daz will be like poser. Only the hardcore fans will be using it and it will be drastically outclassed by other programs. Once AI gets more controllable it will be like comparing a grape to a watermelon.
October 25, 2024 at 10:10 am #2097557@d0gg0d, I don't see Studio going down that hole are far or as drastically as Poser. For one, it is a much more popular and usable program with a GUI that isn't idiotic and stuck in the 90's. The other factor is that there's no competition...yet. I've played with Stable diffusion enough to see that it's still got a long way to go. What I DO see is using AI to do the rendering grunt work and allowing 5 minute renders vice 20 hour renders.
October 25, 2024 at 11:36 am #2097567DS is already outclassed by other programs. What it has going for it are:
It's free (but so is Blender)
It's easy for newbies to pick up and use (for basic scene creation and renders anyway)
It has the largest community around of PAs creating new contentAI will eventually overcome all of this. There is no long term future in content creation for 3D artists or for 3D software. It will move to text prompts creating scenes on web-based AI apps. Only people creating content that they don't anyone else to be privy to will still be using PC-based software. 5 - 6 years imo.

This is my layman's observation. Its dead it just doesn't know it yet or perhaps it does and is just gripping the ledge before the fall.
AI is mostly free ATM and has access to a near infinite level of content and possibilities.
retreating off to exchange privately
This is exactly why I deleted my content and stopped posting. Not because of people mocking me and not appreciating what I post but because of the inner circle forming way before the post you refer to.

If there was one I wasn't aware of it. You were part of the discussion in the post I referred to, and your remarks, along with your friends', didn't exactly motivate us to hang around. So, we took our toys and went underground. It was felt in the old request system for quite some time.
Sorry, not sorry.
Finally, other people stepped up to the plate, although there's a lot not getting filled.
The new revisions should prove interesting.
October 26, 2024 at 2:20 pm #2097844I'm not here to motivate or beg you. Only "requirement" is to appreciate people that share. If you require counseling instead of appreciation I cant help you. My goal in sharing was to give something to a community and others that cant afford it. It is your money and time and nobody should attempt to harass you to do so. When it became all about the a few members attempt to control the flow of content I decided that it wasn't about us, it was about them. The pirating world would be a small place if everyone felt like you. Ive never had an issue DLing movies, music, programs, books ect... Its only some Daz people that think they shyt gold. Im glad this is a casual hobby and alternatives exist
