I'm a Daz3d user and recently downloaded Blender because I found a character I liked in the .fbx format and Daz3d can't handle it. In short, the facial features of this character are all there using shape keys (smile, blink, frown, etc.) except the teeth. Meaning when you open the mouth the teeth remain closed. It appears to me the teeth aren't rigged and I can't figure out how to do it. I've looked at some tutorials but I'm in over my head. The character is available on the internet and is free to download. If anybody who knows Blender well and is willing to help me with this I'm offering 15,000 points. Please PM me and I can give you all the details. Thanks!
You don't rig the teeth, rigging is only for things the move.
Teeth don't move, they follow. In order to do so they need to be the "child" of a "parent" object, so that, when the parent moves, the child follows automatically.
In other words, make sure the teeth are actually connected with the mandible. That's it.
