Several (pay points) posts are popping up that are free at Daz3d. Always go to DAZ before downloading here. Not only does it generate hits for Daz but it keeps Tards from getting your points.

They're free for a limited time, so... while I get that they're sort of abusing things, at the same time they're not.
I would have to disagree. Sure they are free on Daz right now and for those that want to take their time to search (Daz/Rendo/Etc), then by all means, do so. Sooner or later though, most of those 'free items' during the holiday season are going to be priced again.
So better to have someone willing to post them here before we all forget and end up wanting it down the line at a real cost.
On another note. I believe everyone that partakes should also contribute. And not just to this site, but also to the people and companies that make this 'hobby' possible.

Post the free link then post the pay link. Once one dies the other is available.
They are free until they are not. I did this with one of the house bundles.
An exploit is an exploit regardless of how you want to look at it.
It could easily been posted in the free section until it expired.
perhaps all the items listed as free on other sites could one day be decided to charge. I guess Ill start spamming sharecg and deviantart freebies.
So sometimes a free item ends up here and is 'charged' for.
As mentioned - some people do not bother/have enough time or WHY to search for freebies.
Its not something that i would post - but its 50 points - not dollars or pounds or anything else of 'value'.
Whoever gets the points might use them to encourage someone else to share, by means of adding to a bounty.As noted - better to see them here than lose them..
Doubt people posting links to free stuff would get lost here in 3 days and/or it would somehow go missing on their harddrive.
Since it seems the general consensus that clicking on a Daz3d takes an extra 10 seconds out of peoples hectic schedules, ( no more than it would to browse the free section here). Ill make it a point to no longer burden the community with items they do not need to pay for.
@d0gg0d, the giveaways at Daz over Christmas are always just for a limited time. If you wanted to host them all and give them away for free, then do it. Those people that post them up here and host them whilst they are still Free from Daz are taking the piss a little but at the same time, the product will still be available here after it's not longer available (for free) on Daz so personally I see value in it. The people that check this site but not Daz for any Freebies could be deemed foolish or at the most naive/ignorant of the trend so maybe stating on the posting that the item is a Christmas Freebie available for a short time at Daz should be included.

And jeezus... the "currency" on Zone is... points. It has no monetary value, it has no other point than using them to buy other assets. It's the SOLE purpose. Yes, sometimes people give away a lot of points, either as rewards or as prize money... and still those thousands of points are still only "worth" anything on Zone.<
So what's the big deal if someone is "charging" 50 points for these time-limited freebies? As others have stated, AFAIK, all the freebies are actually free here as well, but that might not be true for all, of course.

When people post "custom content" that is not at all custom, and "charge" 500 points for it - that annoys me, because you have no idea about the quality (usually shit) and 500 points is... a bit more points to lose (although it's still just visiting the site 5 days in a row). So... what's the big deal?
Actually theres no real reason for the point system at all.
Everything posted here goes in the wild within minutes to seconds.
Points are for fun and im sure most of the sharers have more points than they can spend.
For me its basic pirate educate or possibly a better word is principal. I would suggest common sense or courtesy but the world has lost those.
If points are pointless we can start including free links under our paid links and do the donation policy if people feel like being nice. That should bring points down at least 2/3s
Freebies are technically free till they arent and should remain such. Like posting old freebies nolonger avaliable.
IMHO.
