    While I would love this, what I would really like is fixing of bugs, resource management, proper scene-optimizations, minor GUI fixes, DB-updates / fixes / optimizations, proper viewport functionality (4-way viewport), and much much more...

    Hmm its not about DAZ 5.0 but rather using a Arnold instead of Iray.
    There is only so much DAZ3D can do, but the developers of Iray are Nvidia.

    @angel_twins

    Yup, Artist is showcasing his work and uses Arnold, Maya, Zbrush, Marmoset Toolbag etc. Must have taken a while but the realism is outstanding.

    Seems Arnold works a bit like Iray. if Daz keeps getting better we'll probably see this type of quality eventually.

    @d0gg0d

    I recall a guy some 10 years ago who could make DAZ dolls look real using 3DS Max and Iray. His lighting setup and skin was very much like the image you posted.
    He shared a lot of his knowledge then disappeared one day, shame :/

    Yep, that happens from time to time.

    Sometimes they quietly disappear, other times in a blaze of fireworks.

    That is a lot more entertaining.

    It's the fiddling with materials in Max that can be a pain.
    The guy I was talking about made it his mission to convert Genesis and V4 maps for V-Ray, because like many he was also into the realism that V-Ray offered.
    That was before DAZ introduced Iray into DS.

    mixed emotions. I want realism but i dont want to work hard for it but, then if i dont work hard for it, I wouldn't feel like I accomplished anything.

    If it were easy everyone would do it and If everyone does it, it looses its awe factor.

    If the 3D scene is part of your career path then you have little choice.
    May as well make it a career if you've gone to a lot of effort learning all those skills IMO.

    Just wish V-Ray was click and render with little effort :/
