I started a re-texturing and Iray conversion on the model yesterday, and since I had to work this morning, I wanted to see how it was looking so I sent this into motion on the way out the door and was pleasantly surprised to come home to this...

March 11, 2018 at 11:56 PM #527962This is the first time I've stopped to comment on anything on this site before- I just had to say... Wow <3
That's incredible.March 11, 2018 at 11:58 PM #527965I like absolutely everything accept im not sure if you are going for this look or not so i'll ask.
The ship appears to be riding a little to high in the water. Im no sailor or ship person but it just seems it should be lower for such a large ship unless, its moving "really" fast. All sails look full so possibly?
The illusion to me is that the land it is going between is very shallow and narrow for such a large ship. Added drama?
other than nitpicking, I like the color and that the sun is silhouetting the ship.
March 12, 2018 at 12:11 AM #527985Stunning image.
I love the colours & lighting.
Less sure about the scale of the vessel & the landscape.
If it is supposed to be taken from a dream sequence, it is fine.
🙂March 12, 2018 at 12:26 AM #528007Nicely Done @ladyburger . It appears to be making good time sailing in to the sunset. The Medusa2 must have one heck of a captain to navigate through that jetty. Are you getting ready to enter the Pirate Contest
(https://zonegfx.com/forums/topic/independent-contest-pirates/) by @Schmitty ?Just toss in some pirates left behind or something. Throw a Jolly Roger, etc.
Some great prizes and not many other rules.March 12, 2018 at 12:54 AM #528034Anonymous

@arthur g - Yes, I am re-working it in preparation of the contest.
@adam - Yes, it's riding quite high. I just placed it into a quick scene to get a feel for how it appeared and was just blown away by how that one turned out. Thanks for all the kind words, you'll be seeing more of the Medusa as I finish up some new textures.
