Hey, is there any way that someone who runs the site can fix it so I can redownload the stuff in my Points history? My fucking computer wiped itself, and I don't have the points to respend to redownload EVERYTHING that I lost...
the posts you buy are yours permanently, so if you click on anything in your points history to go to the post you should see the download link rather than the points spend button, assuming you are on the same account as before and have access to your points history.
There was one time I was browsing posts on my phone and I long pressed a source link to copy and paste to the address bar. At least I thought that was what I was doing; the product image loaded and everything moved, resulting in me pressing the purchase link. Didn’t really want the product, but since I inadvertently purchased it, I made it a favorite to download later. Got around to it a little over a month later and it no longer showed a download link.
Undesignated is right, Aside from some stuff I got in Jan, all my past stuff is locked and I'd have to spend to get them back.
I double checked this a little while ago and Monk confirmed that the purchase is only good for a month before you have to spend again
ah my apologies then, I wasn't aware of this and haven't been on long enough for any to expire so was under the mistaken impression that they lasted. thank you for this information.
Ya it kinda sucks if it would stay downloadable u could re-download it any time if u needed too and it would also let u know at the same time that u have already downloaded it.

Hint: the link stays permanent.

(pay attention that some people don't "name" the file other than the sku numbering)
> make sure you add that link to your browser
( make a separate tab and/or use a separate browser just for ZoneGFX)

Believe me, they DO expire in 30 days.I guess I am late to the party but this is how I was getting around the download lock out problem. I feel for you Stiles, I didn't lose my entire collection but i lost a couple where it burned me at the time.
Whenever I spend points on the download link, I right click on the 'Download' link and copy URL link. I then open a text file and append an entry to it like this:
Product name: 'Some cool 3d item'
download URL-
*paste the url you copied from the previous step*SAVE TEXT FILE.
This way you have the download link for every item you download from here and can just copy and paste the url to your browser to retrieve a copy of the files. At least, until your file gets destroyed in the next hard drive catastrophe...
*knock on wood - hasn't happened to me yet in many years*Just keep running tab and maybe send it to your email every so often for backups. This running text file i have has saved me a couple times already.
IMHO Just burn $300 and buy two 3-4 TB hard drives.
you now have 2 copies of everything you download for probably ever. Name and save them how you like.
Its a minor investment. Since some places aren't always around for ever. RIP. You save a huge amount buy DLing here. Its absolutely a no brainer.
Links dont last forever also. They can be claimed as a breach in policy/rights and removed.
Maybe those that have saved the links for downloading could send the OP as many as they want to get them up and running again. Don't know if this is agrreable with the mods/admin here?, maybe they can inform if that would be ok or not?.
