I don't know if one exists, but I've been looking for a tool for DAZ Studio, that would flatten out a dress or a pair of pants and hang them on a clothes hanger for a clothing shop or a bedroom wardrobe closet.
Does anyone know if there is such a tool that would do this?
Some items now are coming with 'hanger' versions but they still seem pretty rare.
Best bet would be to pose the model standing straight up, arms at the sides, remove the clothing item from them, scale it roughly flat, then hope dforce plays nice.
IF you wanted to do it fancy, you could manually make a morph for the item in 'hanger' pose but this would require some degree of 3d modelling skill.
As above, you could make a morph using the physics solution in external software like HaVoK (most of which is so much better than dforce).
Now my wheels are turning. What would happen if you move the hanger within the clothing and hit simulate? I may try that. I actually could have used that functionality for my entry into Schmitty’s “just when you thought it was safe” Halloween contest.

If you're not after anything too specific in the way of clothing, you could always try this. Note it has a prerequisite!

@rob - chances are it would explode horribly, dforce is REALLY awful 😀 Even if you use a 'dforce compatible' clothing item it might not go so well.
I saw this a few weeks back and thought it might be useful but haven't tested it yet. Apparently it's a flattened G3F morph so when you apply it and then dress G3F the clothes go flat and you can then put a hanger model inside the neck and hide the (insinuated) monstrosity of a morph.

The issue would be if you then wanted to do anything to it, all your geometry is going to be a big ball of smooshed vertices and portals to hell.

Anytime you include a link to anything from ZoneGFX in one of your posts, the system wants to plaster adverts all over the post, we’ve all seen them and they are rather annoying. They make it harder to discern what it is you’re trying to draw our attention to!
So, in order to kill these adverts, simply place your links within parenthesis, or brackets ().

Thanks everyone for your links. I am currently on version 4.5 of Daz, so D'Force isn't an option right now for me. Maybe I will install a new version of Daz some day, but at this time I'm sticking with 4.5. And it sounds as though D'Force has some issues with exploding.
I've tried those other Morphs at Sharecg and the Make a Mess as suggested, but I feel silly I cannot get them to work right, but I'll keep trying.
In the meantime I'll use the ready-made items suggested here. (STZBoutique, Articifial Bedroom and i13 Clothing Boutique) Also there is the Boutique Shop by 3dc also here that will work for me.
