i see theres so many to pick and use whos your fav model the one to use over and other
Genesis 3, Victoria 9, Genesis 8 and for Victoria 8by far i have used Genesis 3 the most of any others

For me it's all about the clothes so I still mostly use good ole Vicky Fourpointtwoplusplus. Her wardrobe is unmatched and she has a massive collection of expressions and poses. She loads fast and has a bunch of excellent characters. And shoes....did I mention her shoe collection? And how about her lingerie?
Yaa....Vicky and I go way back...*sigh*.Hello, for me it's Genesis 8, like 95% or more. I only use a few specific assets I like from other generations, provided that they can be fitted or parented to G8 reasonably well. I think G8 offers the best balance between graphical quality, performance, and content availability.

Genesis 8.1 but I've managed to create custom characters and convert them to G9, they look good! I still dislike the G9 flat looking skin though :/
I use 8.1 for everything. I zipped-up/removed some FACS files so I can use all G8 expressions on 8.1 female/male. I'm not that experienced with G9 but from what I've messed with, I'm not impressed with it. I can get really good results with dialing in "auto face enhancer", "ultimate bend morphs for genesis 8 and 8.1 female 2.0" and some other bend control dials. I use PBR skin MATs with micro details coupled with Vellus body hairs and the end results for close-up shots works for me.

Agree with @eelgoo - still - I use G3 a lot, because I have tons of MTs and clothes - I can't bear to convert to G8. Also, G3 is "easier to use" on my system (read: OLD Pc).
I use all characters from Begin Poser Stuff to Genesis 8.1. I used Genesis 9 and whatever else it is for a very short time, I think two months, and then banished it from my hard drive. No g9 stuff for me...I use clothes as they fit.
G8 for females, G9 for males (G8M bends hawkardly and hidden morphs break the figure anytime I bend any part).

@poepogue could you elaborate, please?There was a similar survey over at RenderHub a few months ago and the results showed 80-something percent of the respondents where using Gee-eight.

FACSExpressionsThen delete those folders and repeat this process for the male folders as well. Fire up daz and load a 8.1F character and you'll have access to all G8F expressions. I prefer most of the expressions from G8F over 8.1F as some are named the same but the results are different. There is a way to have both and I had that figured out years ago but have forgotten how I did it.
Below is the basic way of doing it but you'll notice that you loose some G8F emotions like "shock" and "surprise" etc. IIRC it gives you the 8.1F versions instead but I like the G8F so the above works for me.
How to Enable Genesis 8 Expressions on 8.1To make Genesis 8 expressions work on Genesis 8.1, you can follow these steps:
Navigate to the folder: My Library/data/Daz 3D/Genesis 8/Female 8_1/Morphs/Daz 3D.
Right-click the Base Pose Head folder and select "Send to zip."
Right-click the Expressions folder and select "Send to zip."
Delete the unzipped Base Pose Head and Expressions folders.
Repeat these steps for the male figures in the corresponding male folder.By removing these dummy files, the basic facial pose controls will load, allowing the Genesis 8 expressions to function on Genesis 8.1.
ConsiderationsAfter following these steps, you may encounter minor conflicts between the expressions from both versions due to overlapping user-side labels.
Restoring the original files is simple; just extract the zip files you created.This method allows you to use your existing Genesis 8 expressions with the updated Genesis 8.1 figures effectively.
