Regarding Upcoming Posts about MAYA Rigs

In recent years, high-quality animal rigs for VFX in MAYA have been released for sale. While animal models for Blender are widely available, paid animal and creature models for MAYA are extremely expensive, so despite MAYA’s large user base, such models rarely circulate.

I’ve been searching for nearly ten years and finally came across this site, but as expected, most of the available models were for Blender. A dinosaur model for MAYA was released last month, but it dates back to 2018 and is no longer compatible with rendering as of 2025.

I’m currently looking for animal rigs compatible with both MAYA and Unreal Engine, such as this one:

What I currently want is this gorilla rig.
I’ve seen many different rigs so far, but as far as I know, the highest-quality animal rig is the one created by a well-known wildlife enthusiast for VFX use. However, it is extremely expensive.

There are many other animal models made by various creators, but most of them have incorrect anatomy, low polygon counts, or are poorly made by creators who can’t even distinguish between a gorilla and a Bigfoot.

So I’d like to ask: is there anyone here who plans to purchase high-quality MAYA models, or who already owns some?
I’ve been saving up points little by little, and I’d like to start requesting various animals in MAYA format, beginning with the gorilla model I mentioned. If anyone is able to help or has relevant information, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave a comment below.
