Am I imagining things or are some of Vyktohria models eyes crossed?
I purchased this model not too long; https://zonegfx.com/vyk-clementine-for-genesis-9/
And the eyes looked slightly off, I ended up scraping the model thinking it was some sort of error. Now here; https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/167559/vyk-betony-for-genesis-9
we have another model with a crooked gaze. Is this a new aesthetic or trend?March 7, 2025 at 6:41 PM #2120868More G9 issues, I would imagine.
If an accomplished vendor like Vyk can't get it right, there isn't much hope for it.
IMO if everyone stops buying G9, it might make more vendors continue support for the proven out G8.

March 7, 2025 at 8:27 PM #2120878Sounds like a good plan, just don't see it happening. The whole Gen 9 series has been lackluster to me compared to when 8.1 was announced.
Regarding the vendor, I told her about the eye issues and she insisted that it was on my end. I ended up having the model tested by someone on Daz before they ruled it was indeed on Vyktohria's end. The last message I got from her was over a month ago when she said that she was "working in it".
March 7, 2025 at 8:38 PM #2120879That doesn't bode well. :0/
March 7, 2025 at 8:43 PM #2120881Yeah, I said the same thing.
The tone of her message prior was as if she didn't see a problem with the eyes.
Anyway, sadly I probably won't be getting anymore of her products until this is resolved.
March 7, 2025 at 10:50 PM #2120887A tip - If I ever have an issue with any model's eyes, I'll just use another model's eyes for that particular one.
After trying to use G9 for some things - went back to using g8 and g8.1.
March 8, 2025 at 3:55 AM #2120912That was my initial thought process, I felt that simply swapping out the eyes would do the trick but I wasn't successful.
March 8, 2025 at 1:47 PM #2120990It's no G9 issue, it's just created wrong ... which means the vendor doesn't care, or doesn't know how to do it right. In this case it's obvious that the rigging is messed up and since the eyes are locked to the head rigging, exchanging them doesn't change anything. G9 is a little more demanding for artist but if you know what you are doing, it's no magic to do it the right way ...
March 9, 2025 at 3:34 AM #2121081I might be overly paranoid but you sent a vendor and Daz an email concerning a specific issue then posted that issue here.
I was going to suggest posting a thread in the Daz forum asking how to fix this issue. It brings attention to the vendor for selling a defective product without directly calling them out and may get a quicker resolution. However it might also draw attention to this post.
March 9, 2025 at 4:09 AM #2121089@stachelzelle It's definitely on her end.
March 9, 2025 at 5:25 PM #2121172thats not true at all its a g9 thing, for exemple g9 has a "resting focal point" for the eyes wich in turn makes the eyes fucking up when you create morphs for it, oputing it to 0 when you gon save the morphs it gives errors when loading the morph.... its a G9 thing unfortunatly.
some creators had even to create "eye fix" morphs becuse of that, what i dont understand is vyktorya is not a nub she should kknow how to fix that unless shes new to g9
March 9, 2025 at 7:06 PM #2121183She was one of the stalwart G8F merchants, and only recently releasing G9s .
I hope she will continue to produce for the G8 / G8.1F base model.

Have you ever noticed how the skin on the arms gets a little lumpy in extreme positions? -
