I saw this on the requests an thought it to be the most cooles thing. Are there any well versed coders in the forum to confirm or deny my paranoia? I see a bunch of CMD commands being ran in this product, and the seller seems to be brand new, and these prices are oddly super cheap for what they can do, and the site link in his bio doesn't work, and he only has a few tweets on twitter. It's looking like a hacker kind of scam thing to me but I want it to be real, but anyways I'm giving a warning to anyone who hopefully can see this, and a request to people who are smart enough to identify whether or not this is one scam. They also say "groq" instead of "grok" on one of their product titles.
Here's the request page: https://zonegfx.com/requests/ai-pose-generator-for-daz3d-studio-prompt-your-poses/
February 20, 2025 at 1:34 AM #2118574I reckon your concerns are well justified Blackfire. You will probably be prompted to grant administrator permission for the CMD commands and from there anything can happen.
Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.February 20, 2025 at 2:02 AM #2118578Well. If anyone has the know how, it would be awesome if they could figure it out, for now, I'll just wait and see. I would trust it more if it was posted on the Daz store
February 20, 2025 at 3:18 AM #2118580Have people become so lazy they can't even pose their characters now? Or just use a pose file and adjust it to what you want. It looks to me that using this app would take longer than doing it yourself.
February 20, 2025 at 4:21 AM #2118584It could very well be possible to work, but nobody can be sure without having it to mess with. I say it could be possible, because I have actually been writing my own software similar (on and off, not really dedicating too much time to it, really, but i've toyed with it)
Mine is very different, based on OpenPose. Generating an opencv-based openpose from any image of a human and converting the result to try to matchup with bone names and structure of Daz duf posefile. Very much a work in progress, and very early stages
February 20, 2025 at 5:32 AM #2118586As far as I can tell, its not AI, but just a random number generator built using a vocabulary of pre-defined pose elements.

It would be random within certain ranges (each bone has its limits, high and low values), which gives it a little wiggle room to look natural, I suppose. The AI part is the natural language process that turns the text prompts into something meaningful.
Theres lots of ways to use AI to ease the burden of pose creation, I guess. This is one way to skin a cat, I guess.
I prefer my own way that im working on. Simply find an image with someone in a pose you want to use in daz, and load it in and process it and turn it into a .duf
February 20, 2025 at 11:51 PM #2118656@gts6 My comment was targeted at the product mentioned in the original post, I didn't actually see your previous post as this browser tab was already open for a while.
OpenPose and OpenCV does require machine learning to detect human poses and are genuine use cases for applying AI.
February 21, 2025 at 12:00 AM #2118657Frank rejecting AI allowing you to pose? An angel truly has broken the first seal.
February 21, 2025 at 4:14 AM #2118675@sandeep Yes, I know you were speaking of the original post product. My first paragraph was also in reference to that. That product is using text prompts, so AI is handling that natural language processing, is what I meant (in THAT product, not in my own, which I mentioned in the LAST paragraph)
February 21, 2025 at 11:35 AM #2118701I rather would use your idea, by using a preference picture with a pose, would be much faster and more accurate.
Let us know if you get prototype that works as you intended.
I would be interestedFebruary 21, 2025 at 3:04 PM #2118716Did you consider the option to use a Domain Specific Language (DSL) instead of using LLM for pose specification?
I have briefly outlined the two approaches in a wiki page at Github (https://github.com/StupidByDesign/RandomMusings/wiki/DSL-vs-LLM-for-specifying-poses-for-3D-Models). Used the asciidoc format to retain readability with a little drafting help from ChatGPT, of course. Hope its better than at least some of the AI generated clickbait SEO garbage on the internet 😉
February 21, 2025 at 3:47 PM #2118719@sandeep No I didn't consider that, as I said, the "original" post/product is what I was referring to when speaking about natural language, because that product uses it. Mine doesnt use anything like that, mine is just using a regular old image of a human, the Software examines the image, generates an openpose format and depth maps etc, and does some analyzation of it and estimates pose coordinates, then converts DAZ formatted bone names and values and outputs to a .duf pose file
February 21, 2025 at 4:39 PM #2118721@gts6 Hope nobody throws a Picasso as an input! :kidding:
I mentioned the DSL based approach because a lot of people perceive AIs, specifically LLMs, as an achievement in processing natural language. And therefore, they ignorantly think that they need LLMs for natural language processing. Newer generations wouldn't bother to explore how things worked before the AI revolution and that there are more efficient ways to achieve some results rather than having the AI do it for you. Lately, AI has become the silver bullet to all problems known to mankind.
February 22, 2025 at 2:29 AM #2118797I flicked through the video on this page:
https://www.renderhub.com/drmorphgts/ai-pose-generator-for-daz3d-studio-prompt-your-ai-poses
Played it from 5 minutes and 14 seconds where you can see the actual pose thing in action, and I wasn't impressed. Reminded me of the ring horror movie character coming out of the TV with her body distorted and her joints broken and bending where they shouldn't. I can see why the product is $5. I don’t think it’s even worth that.
