Hello for those of you that installed it, how does it work with content download from here? Is it worth in comparison to 4.2? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you explain again?

Thanks mate, I found out what I needed, but basicly, what I need to know was if this new version was subscription only, and also how it compares with the previous version. I was scared it would screw up things. but alas was just my own missplaced fears. Thanks for answering tough.

@vincelk 4.23 is working fine for the freebirds so no worries there. But if you want the overrated, overpriced extra features that should've been made free years ago then you're going to have to subscribe to Daz premium. As long as you have backups to your content you're golden.

Thanks Peep, I apreciate your info, and altought I could use some of the stuff I think the free version will just have to do. I was asking because I've had issues of missing content in a past version, soooooo.... since I'm in the middle of a project, well, I couldn't just install a new version you know. So thank you for your time and attention, most apreciated.

If DAZ is moving to a subscription based service, it needs to go the way of Poser. At that point, one would have to be crazy to not move to Blender. 100% free. 100 times more powerful than DS. Open source allows for a large user base that develops enhancements constantly. New Version releases every year or two and new point releases every month or two. Friendly user base that is always happy to help. Copious yt vids on how to use it. Better render engines. Uses 1/4th the system resources as DS with better results. And the list goes on from there.

Is certainly not as intuitive as DS, but it also does so much more. A forced subscription for Studio would kill DAZ. It already sucks by hiding their best tools behind a subscription as it is.

I'm sure it'll be hacked quickly, if it hasn't been already.

I worry they gonna paywall batch rendering feature which is essential, as batch render plugin I usually use was not working anymore there in DAZ 2025.

Hopefully someone gonna come up with 3rd party batch render plugin for 2025, cuz buying DAZ premier sub only to batch render wont be good.

Don't need batch rendering in DAZ. If your system can handle the extra overhead, you can use iRay server which is free now.

I'll take a look at it,
I still hope someone gonna come up with 3rd party batch rendering plugin though, for ease of use aspect.

Blender is really good and I want to move all my stuff to it, the deal breaker for me at this point is the massive library I have for daz... I've been gathering stuff for over 10 years and my project is allready up and running, so I'll have to find out how to do it.... and I also invite all of you here who likes dnd style stories, please check it out athttps://globalcomix.com/read/18b08c00-93e3-466d-8e40-14265c5a3253/1

    Thanks all of you.

Same, MASSIVE library plus custom stuff. That and every time I try to learn blender I get a headache.

You know the feeling then... too much stuff... but I've found that by taking blender in small doses I can manage without that much of a headches, also, it looks like that with the new diffeomorphic add on you can export a whole scene from daz do blender. I haven't really tested it but so far it seems to work. If you want I can let know how my tests go since I'm working on some stupidly large scenes.... oh well... anyways thanks for sharing bro.

I set up a render, do a quick one in daz to make sure it looks right and send it to the server. Then I do another, etc until I might have 10 queued up and start it when I head to bed. I, of course, save each scene I make just in case I missed something.
