Lately I've seen posts, mostly software, that are coming from cgpeers and they are labeled on cgpeers with a viruswarning. Thought a warning wouldn't gp amiss.
Either it's vendors looking to throw a little wrench into our operation or it's kids trying to get cheap points.
I haven't been on CGPeers in ages so thanks for the warning.There are a lot of hacked accounts on cgpeers but people are aware of this and test the files on virustotal. Neither the mods or admin over there appear to be pro active. It's up to individuals to warn others.
The infected files are on this site. Many of the software posted here, are coming from CGPeers with a nice virus attached to it.
Reported. Needs looking into to avoid member's machines possibly becoming infected.
And ban those posting if repeatedly doing so without checking.
Not the attitude to have on here... 🙂I'd like to see them banned first time. Folks should be smart enough to check first. With over 30,000 members we can afford to be picky.
@antharaes , could you say specifically which post is infected? I would like to see them in "the dissection room." 😀 If there is a keygen, the anti-virus alarm usually goes on. Even my "minifier" program for dson, gave positive for being nested so that python would work without installing. I don't have any antivirus installed, even win defender is disabled with "defender control".

The Nik Collection installer is corrupted. It won't let me install. I have downloaded the trial from the official website, installed and replaced the ones in the CrackUZ1 folder, and it works great.
I have not tried the Zbrush plugin, since I do not have the program installed... Nor will I install it, since I have NEVER understood its modus operandi... 😀CGPeers have been vulnerable for account hijacking through their DB, the ones getting hijacked are accounts over 9+ years with 0 activity (likely inactive accounts with weak passwords that are already out in the wild). unless the hackers are actually creating new accounts INTO the DB (through injection), then said inactive accounts are not really inactive but to make it look like accounts that have been members from the earlier days of the site.
I heard of CGPeers but haven't been to it. It's closed to the public anyway so I can't seem to access it. Thanks for the warning, though.
Question, does Windows 10 Defender catches this kind of virus? I run it through other software first but I am still curious.

The Maxon_App_2024.1.1_Win.exe installs the license server and I detected a trojan (Trojan:Win32/Acll). Removed it. I put the license file (which looks legit in notepad) in the proper folder but zbrush still says invalid license. Anyone have any luck? Is this really a trojan or is it detecting because it's a hacked program? I have had many keygens over the years come up as false positives.

@castor9mm I have tried to install Zbrush, and sure enough, the rlm does not detect the license.
I just realized that Maxon has bought Zbrush...
I have Cinema4D r19/r25 installed, and they have never used RLM... I don't know if they use it in the latest versions for C4D.
I don't know what the hell Red Giant paints with Zbrush, since it is for visual effects in the Cinema4D renders...
As I said before, I have never used Zbrush. If you have problems, use an older version that you know works.New is not always better...
