Hi all,
Aka "P3dO Explorer" - stupid name yes I know. Used to see zip files as thumbnails for content downloaded from the "official stores". Helps quickly identifying content. Its like Daz3D's content library preview, but without having the need to install the zip file.
Was my go to software for quite a long time, but lately, its not loading all the files in a directory.
Im using v2.9.3.0 on Windows 11.
Anyone else having this issue? If yes, have you found a way to resolve it?
.. just tried it out and i am able to see all my ZIP files on Windows 11.. i have RAR and 7z files also in that folder..
.. guess i need to install the RAR plugin to see the RAR files also, but i don't see any plugin for 7z files.... PS.. trying to find out how to download or add a plugin in the app.. 😀
Thank you! Thats a very good observation - looks like its showing me my zip files only.
From the website plugins, it looks like they (7z and Winrar support) come with the Pro version only. Time to fire up the search engine.
.. from what i see in the P3DO Free download page, it says that 11 plugins are included including RAR and 7z plugins.. but i don't see that in the app..
You are right, so it cant be the paid vs free version issue. Really frustrating lol.
Ive gathered so much content, being able to see what the files contain via an image is so important.
I have found a temp solution.
Convert the rar and 7z files to zip.
Option 1: rename a .rar file to .zip and the app will read it, doesnt work with 7z files.
Option 2: Use Winrar's Convert Tool under Tools > Convert Archive to bulk change files from RAR and 7z to ZIP.
The downside to this is a file size increase, testing with 8x7zip files it went from 1.30GB to 1.48GB. Probably will convert the 7zip files and extension change the rar files.
Ill try to email the author of the software to see how to fix the issue.
