Help: Convert characters (fbx, non-stadard, nonhuman) to type base cc3 or base cc3+.
(not applicable to daz, I want to port fbx from Blender to cc4)

I want to convert a character from fbx (blender), non-stadard, non-human form to cc3 or cc3+ character. If anyone has successfully converted a character from outside the software "character creator 4" into a base cc3+ character, please help me. Thank you in advance for your interest. I will donate 10,000p - 20,000p for successful help. Wishing everyone a good and healthy day!!!.

    Learned from several different attempts.

    Transformer

***Character Creator provides a Transformer feature that are able to import FBX character
files from Daz 3D or Hivewire 3D; This can greatly expand your collection of characters***

    Compatible Characters for conversion.

    Genesis 1 (G1) Characters - to CC3 Base only
    Genesis 2 (G2) Male and Genesis 2 (G2) Female - to CC3 Base only
    Genesis 3 (G3) Male and Genesis 3 (G3) Female - to CC3 Base and CC3 Base+
    Genesis 8 (G8) Male and Genesis 8 (G8) Female - to CC3 Base and CC3 Base+
Victoria 4 (V4) and Michael 4 (M4) from DAZ or Poser - to CC3 Base only
Hivewire Dawn and Dusk - to CC3 Base only

**Only DAZ G3 and G8 characters are compatible for converting to CC3 Base+ characters.

All other .Fbx files need to be imported or drag n dropped into CC4.

If you have successfully converted fbx from blender to cc4 into base cc3 or cc3+ format, please explain in detail the steps and send it to me. I have tried everything but still no success. I gave you 1000p for the answer above. Thank you!

    Ok...here we go.

After all testing using various pipelines, I found no way to convert your Fxb file to a CC3 or CC3+ standard base model system. The problem is this. CC3 and CC3+ are Reallusion's standard *base* models, with specific UV mapping, bone rigs (including number of bones), and poly count. So to fully utilize CC4 and or iClone's new features (ie. Wrinkle System and SkinGen), they need to be in CC3 or CC3+ form. Your character loaded with no errors (as is, not converted), and detected the 3dsmax_biped bone rig. But, attempting to run a CC4 standard *motion* animation, broke the rig, because it all had to be re-targeted. Mixamo motions resulted in the same breakage. The only successful conversions to CC3 and CC3+, were to the above mentioned *standardized* model assets from DAZ/Poser. This is why they created the "Transform" option.

But why is this? Because they were smart enough to know by opening a Creator Marketplace they would increase their revenue. Best option? Make it easy for the largest set of 3rd Party "Standard* Assets to be converted to "their" standard model system and still remain proprietary. And the DAZ/Poser community provided this avenue because there are huge amounts of content created from a few base standardized model rigs (ie. Genesis-9, Micheal 4, Victoria 4). But not all of the older standard models are included, such as Hiro and Aiko.

Future updates may expand on this to include a broader spectrum. But at this time, I only found DAZ/Poser models could be converted.

Your quite welcome my friend and I invite you to pick my brain and skill set for any questions or trouble you may encounter in the future. At this time my career is over as I am no longer able to work. So I spend the time I have been given to play around and help where ever I can. In the end we all want to feel like life has meaning, to change the world. For me, I don't need to change the world. But if I can help change just one persons world, then my job here is fulfilled and I'm happy. Even if it's just making someone smile.

Thank you for everything and be well,
    Soul
