The author took the time to download it from X and posted it here. As long as 'FREE' is in the title or description and clearly visible it is fine for me to charge points for a download from here.
The problem with allowing that is that freeloaders will start hunting down free items all over and flooding the blog with them.

No it's not. Refer to the rules-
"DO NOT post products into the normal blog which are free to download elsewhere from another source."I also reported this; not only was it posted for points despite being a freebie, it was marked as NLA without a store link, despite still being available, for free. It was dishonest and should not be welcomed or tolerated here.
Half of me sees it as a scam and the other half thinks that people who don't check if the item can be DL for free gets everything they deserve. Perhaps some people are just too lazy to do that, so whatever, but we do have rules here.
@vanimoch3dx Erm.... I think it would be a good idea if you read the site rules https://zonegfx.com/faq/ before making an assertion like that. No; it's not ''fine'' for you to charge points for an item that can be downloaded for free elsewhere.
Sorry for the confusion, totally my bad wording. I didn't meant that I want to charge points for it. I meant that I have no problem to be charged points for it as long as it is clearly marked as free. In this case it is obviously no scam and I have the choice to spend points or to get it from elsewhere.
PS: The ‘Free Resources’ section is not linked on the main page so I finally used Google to locate https://zonegfx.com/forums/forum/free-resources/ as when I search for "free" here I find Plants, Outfits, Shaders, ... but not the forum.
