@gaver I don't think DOF is always good. I wanted to see the structure of the blue clouds. This scene is from the second season. And yes I am a big fan of Manda. Just completed the third season.

@d0gg0d It's just that the saber rattling in SW gets slowly on my nerves. Anyway...Is culture. It's nice that you drop by.

I guess for some it is. Seeing something you love "improved" doesn't always agree with everyone. I've heard they're improving Indiana Jones with a lot of reshoots. I've heard LotR and Willow went over well. Witcher is heading for a stelar 4th season.

Since its the Bo Katan show now, SWU is now ruled by Rey Palpatine (space Jesus) and Fett is a retired old grandpa that needs advice from the Moped Power Rangers. I've pretty much given up. While 50 percent of the "fans" pump money into Disney supporting it, it's probably not going to change.

My "Only Hope" is a rumor going around that someone wants to save it by trashing everything and saying it was an alternate universe and pushing the reset button. Doubt that will happen so for me Woke Wars will have to be replace with some other franchise.

Imagine Luke "Skywalker" running his Jedi Academy. Imagine having had all the characters unite one last time. When you compare to what could have been to what is, it make me sick. The good thing is I can still enjoy rendering SW. The Clone War cartoon was excellent and made Ahsoka one of my favorite characters. The bad thing is, as long as Disney owns her she's wrecked.

Thank you for your thoughts @d0gg0d. We are old bags and like to grumble. But in fact, I don't need to watch all the remakes. They mostly suck. You watch one or two episodes and you already know where it's going.
I love series with a Victorian touch these days.

    Carnival Row,
    Shadow and Bone,
    Da Vinci's Demons.
The Law According to Lidia Poët,
    Strange Empire

These series are for me the best I have seen in the last year. And I'm glad I'm not an anime fan. There is so much of this kind of stuff being produced. Unbelievable!

Yeah, I've gotten a lot of practice grumbling recently. Every time I try and walk away, I get pulled back in by something.

There is still good stuff out there, but it's harder to find. I can't remember a time when there wasn't a movie or game I wasn't anticipating being released. Now I could care less. For a brief second, I thought great an Ahsoka movie then I remembered Oh, it's still owned by Disney and dropped it. Guardians 3 has gotten mediocre reviews and I've come to expect mediocrity as the new standard.

I'm not an Anime person but there are a few I think are OK. Cowboy Bebop was butchered. I thought the animated version was ok. Some people are fanatic about it. After seeing the live-action version dumpster fire, I didn't expect it get another season. I enjoyed the live-action version of Death Note. The Japanese 2006 remake not the American version.

O yes Guardians of the Galaxy. I started it last week. Wanted to see all three in a row. An almost perfect ending to an amazing Marvel trilogy, an exciting space adventure elevated by the great heart and humor of its cast of characters, Rocket in particular.

IMDb 8,3/10 is not bad I think and Rotten Tomatoes 82%
