Being the lone human inhabitant of this forsaken ice mining facility meant that providing security was just another task on the list. Usually it meant checking that the surveillance systems were still operational, but today something had triggered the north-west perimeter alarm and this, as per protocol, requires a physical check. Let's hope it's nothing sentient.
Great image and I love the backstory Drayu! Personally I'd place the main character not at centre, marginally off centre, but that's just my artistic style preference. I'd also probably render it wider to enhance the feeling of isolation. Thanks for sharing with us mate... cheers.
Thanks for the comments, glad you enjoyed the image! Especially appreciate the different viewpoint on the composition - always glad to try and make changes like that in the future.
There are two improvements I'd love to make to this image if I was ever to run it again:
1. some kind of glint off of the front of the optics, or possibly have them emissive at the view end so that her face was lit slightly.
2. higher bloom setting for more 'glow', the lights are far too crisp for the weather.re:Not sure how well a motorcycle handles on ice.
If you have the right tires, its not too bad..
Back in my biking days, I did pit crew work for a mate of mine who was into ice racing..I was too chicken to try a lap or two myself..
interesting. I was thinking some form of chains or studs but not spikes. I got pulled off my 3 wheeler long ago because my leg slipped off the peg and the tire grabbed me. That would have been brutal with those tires. They appear to be slicks in the pic though.
