Hey Guys and gals.
I'm having an issue with a dForce hair. "dForce electro hair for genesis 3 and 8"
When I run dForce it does its thing. Looks great.
But I have an issue where if I save the file. Then open it again. The dForce is gone. I don't have this issue with anything else and wondering WTF am I doing wrong.
So Ok. Cheat. It has a couple morphs. If you set these morphs. Each time the file loads its just a little bit different. Enough you can notice.
Running 4.16, but tried in 4.21 as well and same issue.
Running nVidia driver 517.48. But I've also tried earlier and later versions and all have the same issue.
Tried googling the issue and came up blank.
Hoping someone can shed some light here in what I'm doing wrong.DD
February 21, 2023 at 8:06 PM #1931034You know what.. I think I understand now. I'm able to make it work using a G8M no problem. But there hair is also for a G8F. However when you use it. It does the whole autofit thing because its still clearly set for a male. It must be changing something in the maps/weights where its messing it up.
Try it with a G8F.February 21, 2023 at 8:13 PM #1931035With my G8M, Its saving the dForce hair settings. But its different after I load it.
Each load is the same. However. If I save that load. And load the new save. Its different again.
So if you did a comic and you decided a day later that you wanted to add a scene. You'd have to redo them all. Because the hair won't match.February 21, 2023 at 8:18 PM #1931036So heres what I mean. Test file, Saved.. I get this.
If I then Save that, no changes. And load it.. I get this.
February 21, 2023 at 8:24 PM #1931037I did notice that I can use the morphs on the male and it doesn't change at all. But the female, its different everytime. I think this is a mapping issue when autofit converts it.
I wonder if there is a newer version available that fixes that you have to autofit the male version to the female.February 21, 2023 at 8:28 PM #1931039@littlepleasures
First I'd like to say thank you for taking the time to test this. I've been wrecking my brain as this hair is the only hair of that kind of style with spikey hair that looks nice. But having it render different every scene has been.. tasking.Going in and changing the scene identification after its loaded and then fitting it to the G8F does not work. It does not resize to the head properly and the cap is massive and sticks out.
I think I'll try and poke to see if someone has this and has it more updated.

February 21, 2023 at 8:55 PM #1931048Well crap. If I change the G8.1F to have a scene Identity of just G8F. Everything fits. No Autofit.
February 21, 2023 at 9:12 PM #1931052However it too suffers from, If I save and load. Then save and load again. It comes up different.
February 21, 2023 at 10:16 PM #1931073Ok, I'm getting those same results now.
If I save the scene. Then load it. Don't even need to change anything.. Now save the scene again and load it. And its different for me. Don't even need to run dforce, but you can. Same result.
- New scene. Load G8F
- Add hair, Set morph the 01 morph to 50%.
- Set color the Mat C02
- Save scene
- Load scene
- Save scene
- Load scene
This one is different. But it shouldn't be.February 22, 2023 at 1:05 AM #1931115Ok, My solution of just Exporting it and making an OBJ and creating my own hair for it was how this ended for me anyways LOL.
