How get points refund for dead posts?
Twice today alone after paying to download the links were dead. After the fact I noted "Dead Post" which was my neglect, but why is there a "BUY NOW" button even on a dead post? Can't we get those removed and dead posts hidden until restored?

Or you noted the 'dead post' sign after you paid? It's in pretty big print, maybe you should pay more attention.
Either way it would take more effort for them to remove the existing link / buy now button on top of applying the dead post message. That would probably take at least 10 seconds for each dead post.
In the future, you should at least check the top of each posts product information. It will literally take 1 extra second of your time.
I'll send you 100 point, though, because I'm such a good guy.

Well said, we are inundated with people reporting ALREADY Dead Posts as Dead Posts, People reporting WORKING LINKS as Dead Links, the number of false reports is INSANE.
It would be far too much work to remove the BUY buttons as there are currently 5,615 Dead Posts.Merry Christmas

I like that dead posts are there, as some people (like myself) like to find them and upload a new version.
It shouldn't be necessary to manually remove the buy button from posts tagged as dead. A filter could remove the button in functions.php fully but a simpler 'fix' in css:
.category-dead-post .mycred-sell-this-wrapper {display:none;}The Dead Post notation was well below the BUY NOW button off screen until I clicked and got the download link.
1) There should be NO buy now on anything dead
2) Clicking anything that is dead should warn you it is dead
3) There should be no download link to anything that does not exist.Numbskull
That donation was not necessary but I do appreciate the kind consideration. I am sending them back but not because I do not appreciate but because I DO appreciate your kind gesture.
Why not just totally delete dead posts and avoid any issues? If someone uploads those vanished articles just insert a new valid post.
The dead posts aren't deleted because some people actively go through the dead posts and reupload/repost the asset so that its available to others.
The "simple" solution would be to have posts marked as dead not be available for purchase. However, I'm not sure how simple the programming would be.
This site should have everything backed up so if a link goes dead the admins can put a new link/re-post the product as soon as they are notified the link is dead.
So many times I've been too keen to grab an item and bought a dead link item only to be disappointed 🙂
But hey, it's only 50 points and you get 100 just for logging in.I'm one of those guys who goes through the dead posts to see if I can repost something.
Deleting them would be a terrible thing in my opinion.
And unless there was a simple mechanism to remove the "buy" button from all items in dead post the work involved would be just too much.My solution, just do a quick check before clicking and if you don't, well it's 50points

The CSS fix by @duval99 would be a very much easier way to remove the Buy Now button..
