Forgive me if I'm not using the proper terms. I'm a noob:
So I'm having a problem with some hairstyles, such as the "Biscuits Jam Hair" and others from various creators, where they go crazy when I apply them to a character. The hair immediately looks like the character's in a wind tunnel rather than in a 'zero pose', and I can't manage to get them to look normal with any of the style and pose variations. All poses look like the hair is blowing around. What settings on Daz or whatever else do I need to tweak to get it to look right?

@Dabbler
Note: Biscuits dForce Jam Hair for Genesis 8 Female is conforming only in the default initial shape, this Hair is created to be simulated with the dForce Engine, to achieve a realistic flow and drape influenced by gravity.December 18, 2022 at 6:41 PM #1902767@Dabbler
Yeah, as SonyTony said, that's Biscuits approach for her dforce hair products. She lifted the hair to upper position like blowing just in order to make a better draping result of simulation. Most of the shaping preset of this hair serve for this purpose. Other similar hair like dForce Styling Milly Hair has the same approach.If you really wanna have a 'normal style', you may:
1. Run Simulation once in A-Pose
2. Export the hair as an obj file with Resolution Level set to Base
3. Use Morph Loader Pro to import the obj file back to the hair
4. Clear Simulation
Then dial the imported morph slide in the hair parameters list. You'll have what you want~You may go to Biscuits channel on youtube from where you can learn how she designed the hairs and how to well use them~
December 18, 2022 at 8:29 PM #1902814Also note that some hairs come with their own simulation setting/s and don't work properly if you don't apply the settings before simulation. Not sure if Jam Hair is one of those.

Jam Hair has 3 Sim Settings of its own, but they are only related to the params in Simulation Settings pane, irrelevant to shapes, morphs or poses.December 19, 2022 at 7:41 AM #1902929Anonymous
