What I found out yesterday after installing the latest 4.21.1.13 version.. No rendering anymore on GPU.
For Iray GPU rendering, DS 4.21.1.13 requires NVIDIA drivers 516.93 or later and Latest NVIDIA drivers version supporting Windows 7 is 473.81

So was 4.21.0.5 the last DS version to support Iray GPU rendering on Windows 7. The latest DS 4.21.1.13 does not:?

They also remove the 4.21.0.5 Link from the Daz Studio Discussion..But I found it in my history.

Tbf: Win7 has been released 13 years ago and it's successor 10 years ago. As an OS it is essentially a security risk for any user and I couldn't criticize any developer stopping to support it.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but there's no real reason to keep using Windows 7, as even legacy apps can be run under emulation mode.

There is a limit to how long you can support old software. Its a real issue.

As far as I know Daz used some freeware in its UI, and that's the biggest factor holding them back for Daz 5. (Not compatible? Not working with Apple? I dunno.)

Its also a rats nest for code by all accounts, so... I bet we'll have Daz 4 with no new real features (a'la Genesis 9) for quite a while.

And dude.. Windows 7... That's soooo last millennium. Windows 10 is fine. Its Windows 8 without the crap and bugs.

Windows 11, now that has me worried.

My Work computer with win7 system (11 years old) has never be online. For online stuff I use a little Laptop.

I just want to say: Apart from the huge effort what entails to install win10..
It just sucks to kill a running system.

It might suck but software always moves on, especially when new operating systems are out. I resisted installing Win 10 until 2019 but it was still a free upgrade so I went ahead and have not looked back. Kind of messy though since I did the upgrade to my Windows 7 system instead of a clean install. Clean install is waiting till next year when I build my new computer and will, of course, use Win 10 until I HAVE to switch to 11. I need to go through and make sure I have every program I need downloaded and ready to install, I hate doing that.
