At this point it would be great if we could have an Autofit option or some way
to use Genesis 8 and 8.1 outfits on the new Genesis 9 characters
and also the new Genesis 9 clothing on Genesis 8 and 8.1 characters...right?What are your thoughts?
Autofit works - I tried on clothes with v4, it fits well. There are artifacts - but they are identical to those that were on the previous figures. With clothes g8 - I had no problems ....
There is an autofit. Just try to apply the clothing on genesis 9 and select the original figure under the drop down box. I keep the second one empty. Works pretty well. I find that Dforce enabled clothing works the best since gravity can straighten out any bends caused by the different meshes.
has anyone tried to use a G9 native outfit on a G8 character?

The catch is you have to install the G9 stuff to make it.

@jr69 I have. They don't transfer very well. At least the boots didn't.
From G8 to G9 worked great! High heel shoes, and boots transfer no problem. I used full body for the second option. It transfers the rigging better.
Full body won't work well with long skirts though. You need to find another skirt that is the same length (Approx, or full. You can delete the bones that don't matter after.) that would be a G9 outfit and then transfer the rigging over.DD
