Hi,
Has anyone used a graphics tablet with DS?
Is it feesable?I was wondering if a setup could exist whereby the tablet was used as the viewscreen, with the main monitor set to display menus / content panes.
Any feedback?
I played with DAZ for a few days on a Wacom Cintiq, but it was not really practical (for me at least) to use it exclusively on a tablet. BUT I've added an Intuos to my setup (the smaller, screenless version) to help my post-process workflow (Photoshop, Lightroom etc) and it works great when you edit weight maps etc in Daz 🙂

Have you [or anyone else] tried to use the 2 screen method that I wondered about?Sorry I didn't see your tag 🙁 How do you want to use the "tableted viewscreen"? Do you want to only "see" it as a screen or do you want to input/edit/rotate etc on it with the stylus -- while you edit the other panels/sliders on the monitor with a mouse? (It isn't really practical if you need to switch between the mouse and stylus all the time)
(Or maybe you want to use both screens with a mouse and the tablet would be just a screen addon close to you?)

NP.I was thinking of using the tablet as the main viewport - for maximum work area.
Hopefully my main monitor could then be used for the content tabs / scene tab etc.Could this work with the mouse selecting on the tabs, and pen for the viewport content?
Yeah sure, think of it as two monitors (so you either duplicate the screens - you see the same on them OR extend them - so you have two kinda connected areas), but one of your monitor can use stylus/touch inputs. The stylus of course only works on your tablet, but you can use the mouse on both screens - if it's in extended mode (of course, it depends on the tablet and its software too but I don't think that it would cause any problem).
BUT if the main goal is only to achieve a bigger work area (and the stylus input is not that important) IMO a multi-monitor setup or a wide monitor (like Samsung G9) would be a better option in long term.+1 DAZ3D's UI isn't really supporting the multi-screen setups (as far as I know), so you need to manually unlock the panes and move them to the other monitor (you can save the layout tho).

I think I would like to experiment with the tablet option - for other creative work than just DS.
Pen looks like it can be more intuitive than manipulating with mouse [accuracy as well].Probably not going to see DS support multi-screen in the way of other big creative progs.
Is Blender any better?Yeah, Blender is much much better 😀 You can even open a new connected main window with it.
BTW Did you choose already a tablet (or brand) for your project?

Trying to even out the cost/quality from reviews.
Leaning towards HUION Kamvas Pro 24 4K without overspending.I've used the Wacom Cintiq, but graphics tablets are more for gesture drawing or photo retouching. For DS, I think this nonsense would be better: the "Nano Control" plugin, for a Korg MIDI device that costs around 50/60 €/$... (nanoKONTROL2). The plugin is here: http://www.pilning.net/index.html

If it's not to late to chime in.. instead of two monitors, just get like a 42"-55" inch TV. Lots of space on there for windows...

I already have a 45" HD screen - which is only used for computer input. It was bought when we lived in Texas. Being tight I brought it back to the UK when we came back, but it does not display PAL signal [adapters/convertors are crap].
We tend to just use this for media needs - saves paying TV license as never watch live broadcasts anyway.
Main reason for tablet was to use at desk - where larger TV would be a little overbearing and not suitable position to place against wall [already have large BenQ for PC which takes more than enough space.
