Hi guys, I'm wondering if there's any way to make the lights like this one: PT Reveal HDRI Lighting load using the object coordinate as a base instead of the default coordinate (0,0,0)
When we hold down the CTRL and click on some things, like add a new camera, for example, we choose if it will use the default location, the location of our current camera or the item that is selected, it happens that these lights don't have that option, they always load as if they are trying to lighten the character at the default coordinate and using CTRL and dragging doesn't help either.
Just to clarify, these lights spawn in some coordinates like X -125, Y 150, etc. In an attempt to apply the lighting effect to the character's face, but if the character isn't at the default location, the lights doesn't work.

September 14, 2022 at 2:59 PM #1867039I believe grouping the lights can certainly be done and moved to the character and get the exact same lighting.
But if it's a precision setup or a tricky type of light, the easiest thing to do would be to move your character to the default load location. Download this:
https://www.daz3d.com/advanced-collective-transform-tools
to create a group called an "Collective Transforms Group."The cool thing about it is that everything remains in place after being grouped. Sometimes grouping objects together that have their own groups or groups within groups, that has been translated within the group, the objects don't retain their relative positions to each other when grouping using a regular group, but with this tool, they do.
Select everything in your scene and create a "Collective Transforms Group". That group will be at 0,0,0 Now find your character within and note see what your character's coordinates are... suppose it is
X Translate 750
Y Translate 200
Z Translate -308To get your character to 0,0,0 all you do is inverse the character coordinates to the Collective Transforms Group, like this:
Form your characters coordinates you translate the Collective Transforms Group to:
X Translate -750
Y Translate -200
Z Translate 308and then your character will be standing at the default load location of 0,0,0

Guys, thank you very much.

Another helpful trick with ghost lights is to load a camera and zero it on all axes and rotations.
Then load a ghost light and rotate it on its x axis to 90 so that it is facing linear with the camera.
Next, parent the ghost light to the camera. Now you can aim the ghost light by looking through the camera. If the ghost light is blocking the camera view you can simply hide it's display or move it back a smidge. -
