300 iterations. About 5% so expect so noise.
Not particularly great but not bad. Think it was Babina with vellus hair

Selected around 6 different skins till this looked fairly nice under this HDRI
August 23, 2022 at 12:45 AM #1859445Nice one... Babina is one of my favourites. Hair, clothing and character look great. I'm not sure which I like better, all the great pictures or the simple fact that the Art Showcase has come alive.... both I suppose. Up to now it's been pretty much tumbleweeds on this forum.
August 23, 2022 at 6:25 AM #1859515@Frank22 Yeah, I wish it were more involved like it use to be. I was told I came in on the decline. Seems that was the case. Pretty much a few in the community keeping the contest going and a handful of people post in the art section. Participation is kinda hit and miss in the contest so maybe that's why they aren't sponsored any more. Not my personal opinion but at least it's a less negative way to look at it.
I'd say Misumi is probably my favorite skin but that may be changing since I don't use it as often now.

Yeah, when you get almost no response after all the effort you put into a render and show it here! I can imagine that it goes downhill. No interest and no respect for art from others in this forum...
Just some old farts who hang around here from time to time and evaluate sometime something and bleating around
I think that I will organize a huge contest with a very very fat pot. But I think It makes no different Let see...August 25, 2022 at 9:04 AM #1860345@d0gg0d I forgot something about the image. Simple and Cute.
The skin looks mostly like plastic when rendering too long. That is why I render minimally as possible.
And when the skin is still plasticky, usually I make it grainy in pshop.
Makes the skin looks better IMHO.August 26, 2022 at 3:16 PM #1860768good info. the imperfect perfection. getting things to sharp loses a realistic feel. Guess thats why some things on a 4K tv look fake even though they are pictures of real places.
