Been spending a long time organizing my collection and taking advantages of summer sales and wondering what people are most interested in me sharing as I identify what's not available online right now?
*Daz Generation 1/2 [V1&2 ; M1&2; Mill Girls, Mill Boys, Stephanie, Aiko...]
*Daz Generation 3 [V3, M3, A3, Girl, YT3, SP3, GND2...]
*Daz Generation 4 [V4, M4, A4, S4, G4, K4, GND4...]
*Genesis
*Genesis 2
*Poser default people
*SM Poser Characters [including TY2]
*Toon Characters [Star, Cookie, Skye, Krystal, NearMe, AD/MD, Chip, Ichiro...]
Which groupI have a large majority of those assets and a lot of the add-ons for them from when they were first released. They're getting so old now I'd feel guilty about posting them here for points... maybe in the Free Resources section.
It's hard to judge the demand for items like these especially considering that most people have moved on from Poser and many wouldn't know how install or to use them in DS.LOL! Some of us are old enough to have had Bauhaus posters on our bedroom walls!
As far as old stuff, a lot of it is cool and unique, and can/should be converted-up. It wouldn't take much to run an item through CrossDresser to fit Vicky 4, then converted from there to fit the Genesis figures. After that, convert the textures to iRay (it's an easy click of a script if memory serves), and it's all shiny and ready for G8.1F should you desire it.
An enterprising soul could make a killing in points by doing this and posting the more interesting results.
I remember the Concord Navy and Pathfinders uniforms for Michael/Vicky 2.0/3.0. At the time, those were the best SciFi uniforms by a country mile. I'd happily throw bucket loads of points at anyone who could convert those to G8.

But I wasn't referring to the Murphy & Co. band that I've seen live several times, but to the fact that the dead can still be undead.
I install Vicky and Michael 4 from time to time, but delete them after a couple of tests. Just like Poser 11.
It's like trying to install windows 3.1 on an i9 CPU with Nvidia GPU...
I am a collector of old books published before 1900, but in software, either you are up to date (which is already old when you install it...) or we lose references of ease of use. Right now, we're torn between Unreal's Metahuman or the Genesis 8/8.1 framework...
What I always say: If it works for what you want, do not change it for anything.It's easy to give most of the older assets a second life (no pun intended), with the shaders redone and some of the textures converted. A lot of it still works for background stuff.
I just keep ungodly amounts of old Poser stuff around for kitbashing and projects that specifically need older looking stuff i.e. most of this goes into sprite renderings for a few indie game projects (most of this doesn't even involve PBR workflow).
if anything then generation 4 stuff, i still use V4/M4 regulary in poser because the keyframe editor is much more reliable than the one in DAZ and since i do the rendering in 3DsMax i even use them with G3/8 hair and textures, this way they can still keep up ...
I would really love to see some old stuff for V4/M4 on here, though I do probably have most of the stuff from Rendo/Daz. Still my wishlist on both of those sites remain full, lol.
Can't remember but I think I bundled some old stuff in packs of 40-50 and uploaded maybe 4-5 packs. Long since deleted but someone else may be hosting it.
This gets brought up every so often like a lot of other things. A suggestion is to have a different section for old content. I have V3 stuff and maybe some earlier than that as well as lots of content locked behind passwords I've forgotten.
Not sure what work it would take to make a different section but, I'd rather not see the front page flooded with content older than my couch. As Daz and Poser section would be nice. Daz and poser gallery. Daz and Poser request sections, Ect...
Other sections would be nice also like PS or random 3D content.
My Granddaughter had her first birthday on the 30th.
