    Why do people post items and then say that the links will only be available on a particular date a week later. I find that I very quickly lose track of such posts and forget about them because I don't record each post that has this issue. Why not just make the post when the link is actually available then nobody has to go hunting for the post (if they actually remember to do so)

    I looked at the "Upcoming" posts - I am now totally confused - Why do half of them have links?

    I take it that all posts that have/had a particular link date lives there?

    Could you please explain?

    After a Scheduled Post goes up, the links will be visible seven days later.

    If you want to track scheduled posts, simply click on the LOAD MORE button below the UPCOMING POST section. Clicking that will only load Scheduled Posts, so you can go through and see what you missed! ez

    @dirtyharry

    Scheduled posts exist because on this site there are also "Private Shares" (see the forum in the "requests" section).

    Once a requested item is provided privately, the person who shared it might want to post the item "on a schedule" so that, in the meantime, people actually have the time to send him/her the offered points.

    Furthermore, it "reserves a spot" on the blog, so that nobody else can post that specific item in the meantime (since each individual item should only available once on the blog to avoid duplicates).

    The fact that you see "scheduled items" with a link, it's because the deadline for the link to be hidden has passed and the posts themselves do not automatically move the the "normal" posts but just remain in the Scheduled category.
